4— THE MILL CITY ENTERPRISE THURSDAY, JUNE 20, 1954 Officers Installed at Woman's Club Meeting Gene Teague Chevrolet Says The final meeting of the year for the Mill City Woman's Club was held Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. O. K. DeWitt. A no-hoat covered dish buffet supper was served *t 6:30 to members, their husbands and other guests. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Melford Nelson from Mon mouth. Mrs. Nelson is president of the third district of Federated Wom an’s clubs. Following the supper Mrs. Vera Hathaway conducted a short busi ness meeting and Mrs. Nelson instal led the officers for the ensuing year: I first vice president, Mrs. Don Carl- • son; second vice president, Mrs. Jay I Mason; corresponding secretary, | Mrs. Fred Moore; recording secre tary, Mrs. Clyde Rogers; treasurer, Miss Daisy Geddes. A president has I mot been elected as the nominating committee was unable to secure any- | one to accept this office. An execu tive meeting will be called next week I for the purpose of working out a solution to the situation. Mrs. John Muir announced that the | recent “do it yourself’’ style show, which was attended by Mrs. Robert Holmes, was a success with about 100 people attending. Proceeds from the affair, which also featured a ' silver tea, were sent to the Child ren’s Farm Home at Corvallis; a project of the club. Mrs. Nelson gave a brief talk about her experiences as president of the Third District. The evening was concluded with Mrs. Roger Nelson arranging several contest games in which the group participated. Thanks to you . . .
