Election to Amend Charter SuccesKfiil' The speoiael election beld Tuesday to amend tbe city charter resulted in all three mersures of the xmeuduieuU being carried. Tbe vote was a liiiht cue and very little opposition was manifested to any of the measures ex cept the one providing for street im provement out ot the general fund. This was, however, carried liy a vote of 95 to 65. Tbe amendment provid ing tor an increase in the indebted ness of the city from 2, WW lo 5,000 was carried by a vote of 121 to 3, aud the one permitting the city to borrow funds to tbe amount of &,(W0 was also successful by a vote of 125 to 35.
