Tbe City of Hood River does or daln na follows: Suction 1. That Section 23 of Ordi nance Mo. 7. entitled. "An ordinance to Impose and regulate licenses upon certain trades or callings, and regu lating the manner of issuing licenses," as amended by Ordinance No. 18 and Ordinance No. 18 of said city, be and the same is hereby amende, so as to read as follows: Section 23. Every person or per sons, Arm, corporatholon, who owns has or keeps any horse or horses, animal or animals, team or teams, automobile, motorecar, or other ve hicle, which shall be used (upon tbe streets, alleys, or public highways within the corporate limlta of the City of Hood River.) to convey any person or persons, article, substance, Brorjerty or thing, or to do any work lor, or render any service to any per son or persons, firm or corporation, for hire or any valuable considera tion whatever, other than for the owner or owners thereof, or for the (lit.v of Hood River, or mowing oe cultivating gardens, or which ahalr lie used exclusively for the burial ol the dead or for hospital purposes! shall pay an annual license fee of $20, for one team, automobile, motor car, or ot her vehicle so used; $30 for two team, automobiles, motor cars, or other vehicles so used; $40 for three teams, automobiles, motor cars, or other vehicles so used, and $"0 for tour or more teams, automobiles, motor cars or other vehicles so used, The license provided for in this sec tlon shall .lie paid annually in ad' vance. Whenever any person holding a license to eell spirituous, vinous or malt Ikiuors in quantities less than one gallon in the City ot Hood River, deslrea to transfer 'or assign the same, tbe common coun ell may authorise such transfer or assignment upon the bolder of such license and his assignee complying with the conditions nerotnaiter im nosed. Section 2.
