The sea son's premiere program pictures the daily life of a YMCA field worker at his difficult and deli cate task of helping Chicago's trouble youths fight the violence, relentless boredom and futility of slum life. DISNEY'S WORLD. 7:30 p.m. Sunday KMED-TV. "The Waltz King." (2 parts). The musical biography of Johann Strauss Jr. was filmed in Vienna with musi cal portions performed by the Vienna State Symphony. Por tions of Strauss's operetta "Die Fledermaus" were filmed in side the 18th century Theater an der Wienn (Vienna Theater ) the same theater where Strauss himself oricinallv introduced the operetta in 1874. Popular singer Frankie Avalon plays a mean, arrogant, contemptuous hood lum signed on as one of Gil Favor's drovers. SUSPENSE THEATRE, 10 p.m. Thursday KMED - TV. Lloyd Bridges, Geraldinc Brooks and John Ireland star in "A Hero for Our Times," the story of a successful San Francisco executive who weighs his repu tation against the life of a drifter charged with murder. Association Opens j Grants Pass Office ! Jackson County Federal Sav ings and Loan Association has opened a Grants Pass Branch at 409 S.E. Sixth St., the Med ford office of the association reported Friday. The expansion into Grants Pass is in keeping with the 54 year history of the business, which has steadily grown in size since its begining in 1909. At the semi-annual period end ing June 30, 1963, the assets of the association totaled $24, 709.253.35. The association now has three offices, one in Medford, one in Ashland and one in Grants Pass. Through the system of teletype communication it will not be necessary to transfer any rec ords.
