C. (UPI) - William H. Rob ertson, 55, manager of Weyer haeuser company's big wood products division at Longview, Wash., died here Saturday night of a heart attack. He had been vacationing here with his wife, Loretta. Robertson, born in Portland, started his career with Weyer haeuser in 1929 as a crane oper ator on the lumber cargo dock at Longview. Twenty-six years later he was named manager of Wcyerhacuser's exten s i v e Longview sawmill, plywood, log ging and tree fnrm operations. In addition to his widow, Rob ertson is survived by three daughters, Phyllis, Longview; Mrs. Charles Hoover, Kelso, Wash., and Mrs. Henry acnmaitz, 1'orlland. A funeral service is pending in Longview. A move was expected favor ing an initiative measure in creasing workmen's compensa tion benefits on the November, 1964, election ballot. An amend ment to ban private insurance firms from participating in the program also was under con sideration. The 1963 legislature's tax pro gram and the Oct. 15 referen dum also were contain to come up for discussion. Some labor leaders have said they do not like the tax program, but are afraid a special session would result in a worse bill. A resolution that would move the AFL-CIO state headquarters from Portland to Salem also has been prepared for introduction.
