Linda Burr, Gary Burns Are Married GOLD HILL - Miss Linda Ann Burr became the bride of Gary R. Burns in an afternoon garden ceremony read August 25 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Burns, 170 Bigham drive, Central Point. The rites were performed at 3 o'clock by Mr. John V. Heberling of Central Church of Christ. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burr, 107A Lampman road, Gold Hill and the bridegroom s parents are Mr. and Mrs. John F. Burns, 107B Lampman road, Gold Hill. The bride's sheath dress was of white satin and she carried a bouquet of yellow orchids. Miss Joan Burr was the hon or attendant for her sister. Her frock was of green satin and her bouquet was of pink flowers. floral arrangements decorat ed the scene of the ceremony About 40 guests attended the rites and reception held at the same Home. The bride and bridegroom at tended Crater High school and the bridegroom is employed at Cascade Wood Products com pany. The couple lives at Route I, Box 345, Gold Hill. The marriage of Miss Martha Louise Hyatt, whose reign as the l!tf.2-3 Miss Oregon ended officially the first of September, and Richard Joseph Foulon was set for September 7 and last week she posed for the traditional bridal portrait. The gown of ivory bridal satin Is designed with a full train and the bodice and skirt are accented with appliques of heavy lace. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mra. Floyd C. Wyatl, Jacksonville, and Mr. Foulon is a son of Edward P. Foulon, Klamath Falls. The newlyweds planned to travel up the Oregon coast into Canada for their wedding trip and will return to live in Jacksonville. Both are Southern Oregon college students. (Classic photo) Rogue Gallery To Show Two New Art Exhibits Scheduled to open at Rogue' gallery Monday, September 9, are two new shows which It is believed will b of unusual In terest. One, a group of 43 paintings by 14 contemporary artists of Iran, is the result of a trip taken to Iran in 1961 by Mrs. Benjamin Grey of Minne sota. An American art lover and patron, Mrs. Grey took with her an exhibition or the work of some American artists, and presented them In the Iran American societies of Teheran, Isfahan and Shirei. The exhibition was warmly received, and at that time it was agreed that an Iranian should come to America and present in turn, an exhibition of contemporary Iranian painters. Parvis Tanavoli, an Iranian painter and sculptor brought the present show to the United States. As a member of the Western Association of Art Mu seums, the Rogue Valley Art as sociation brings this exhibition to the residents of Southern Oregon. E. Millard read the rites at 8:30 o'clock in the evening. The bride's parents are Ber nard Schultz, 610 South Hollv street, and Mrs. Anna Schultz, 225V4 North Holly street. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rowden, Pitt Star Home, Box 85, Rutte Falls. Mr. Schultz escorted his daughter to the altar and gave ner in marriage. Schauble, Shady Cove, announce the approaching mar riage of their daughter, Susanne Mane, to Bennett Richard Huff, son of Harlcy R. Huff, Spring field, Ore. The wedding has been planned for the last of Septem ber at First Methodist church, Medford. Miss Schauble is a graduate from Eagle Point High .school and is employed by Springfield school district as a secretary. Mr. Huff was graduated from Springfield High school, attend ed Oregon Technical institute and is employed by his father. Miss Jnan Callaghan. who was named Miss Rogue Valley for the current year and who competed in the Miss Oregon talent contest in Seaside earlier this year, left Thursday night for han Francisco. The trophy, named for the late Mrs. Paul A. Hatton, will be awarded the winner of a future bridge club event. Mrs. Hatton, with her husband, was a devoted bridge player. She was a mem ber of the Medford Duplicate club and with her husband founded the Riverside Bridge club and the Bear Creek Bridge club. Marriage Date Set by Pair The forthcoming marriage of Miss Dons Felkner to Dan oil man, has been announced by the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noble Felkner, Springfield, former Medford residents. The bridegroom-elect is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gil- man, 940 Ross lane. The wedding date has been set for Saturday, September 21 at 8 p.m. in Calvary Temple church, Springfield. The bride-elect, an employee of a Medford real estate firm, lives at 1554 South Columbus avenue, Medford. The bridegroom-elect is an employee of Timber Products company. Miss Mohr will be a senior this fall at Pacific Union col lege, Angwin, Calif., where she is majoring in communications journalism. Last year she served as program manager of the col lege's educational FM-radio sta tion, as editor of the college weekly newspaper, and as man aging editor of the literary mag azine. This fall she wiU serve as Student Association vice presi dent in charge of publications. Miss Mohr, a I960 graauaie oi Medford High school, was editor of the newspaper and a mem ber of the Student council dur ing her senior year. The bridegroom elect was graduated from Pacific Union college in June with a bachelor of arts degree in speech. While there he also served as editor of the college newspaper, as man aging editor of the year book, as president of the Communication government and debate. With plans to teach on the college lev el, Mr. Huenergardt will enter either Northwestern university or Ohio State university this fall, where he will begin work on his doctorate degree in speech. He attended Oakland schools and was graduated from Oak land Technical High school in 1959, where he was a member of the newspaper staff and of the swimming and diving team. The bridegroom is employed in Yreka where the pair will live. 4 Brothers Leave To Enter School Brent Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Mitchell, 33 Black Oak drive, left last week for Redding, Calif., where he will he a sophomore at Shasta Junior college. Hia younger brother, Gibb Mitchell will leave this week for Spokane, Wash., where he will enroll for his freshman year at Gonzaga university. Local Student Attends Reed Miss Heather Rode, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W Rode, 2242 Buena Vista drive, Cherry Heights, a 1963 graduate of Medford High school, has en rolled as a freshman student at Reed college, Portland. The Rodes' son, Matthew Rode, recently returned from the Far East where he snent nearly two months on a tour of duly on the USS Castor. He is a regular NROTC student at Ore gon Stale university where he will return for his senior year when the fall terms opens later this month.
