' -i A champagne luncheon for women golfers and other guests is an annual event of the end-of-summer tour, nament. Pictured during the event are Mrs. Justin M. Mrs. Walberg, whose simple white frock wsa accented with large black buttons and a black straw handbag, does not play golf but serves as a caddy for her husband. Hundreds of watchers followed the Southern Oregon golf championship finalists Labor Day. Both the men's and women's matches were close, and interest ran high in both galleries. Morris (extreme left) and Mrs. Stuart DeVry, Eugene, one of the tournament contestants. - i 'HI From early morning until late at night the big score board at Rogue Valley Country club attracted tournament entrants and other golfers last week end. N ':i One of the Rogue Valley Country club members who served as hostess for the tournament cocktail party series last week was Mrs. Hal Hartzell (at right) who with Mr. Hartzell and their three children recently returned to Medford from Citrui Heights, Calif. The Baxters are newcomers, having come from Portland to make their home in Med ford. Mr. Baxter is manager of the new Oregon bank. Wearing an official's badge, a smiling Mrs. William Cowning (right) served as a hostess for the annual champagne luncheon givan last week end during the annual Southern Oregon golf tournament at Rogue Valley Country club.
