The American consumer will spend more than $23 billion on sporting good in 1963. reports Hardware Retailer. This fall, people with more leisure time will be looking for something new and different. Guns, archery equipment, bowling balls, ice skates, skis or accessories connected with any of these winter sporting goods are but a few of the items they'll be buying. The magazine urges dealers to examine their own market. Speaking of sports. Hard ware Retailer reports that golf offers a long season and mass market appeal. Golf equip ment .!$ should hit $137 million this year, up from $124 million in 1962. There are now an estM8Ial E eatllion golfers and the number is growing. .
