Christensen, 183 Black Oak drive, became the bride of Thomat Earl Hanley, Reno, Nev., in a double-ring cere mony held August 11 at First Presbyterian church. Dr. D. Kirkland West offi ciated at the four o'clock aft ernoon rites attended by 250 relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Earl M. Manley, parents of the bridegroom, came from Eeno for the wedding. The bride wore a 'floor length gown of white tissue taffeta fashioned with scoop neckline, fitted bodice and overskirt. The neckline, elbow length sleeves, waistline and skirt front were accented with appliques of peau d'ange lace. Her veil of imported silk il lusion was held by a pillbox hat trimmed with seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of white butterfly roses and miniature carnations. Her jewelry was a single pearl and diamond pendent, a gift of the bridegroom. Mr. Chris tensen escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. SUttr Ii Attendant Miss Jill Christensen was honor attendant for her sister. Other attendants were Mrs. Daniel Christensen, Eugene, her sister-in-law, and Miss Jacklyn Creager, Miss Linda Glaholt, Berkeley, Calif., and Miss Peggy Smith, Piedmont, Calif., all Gamma Phi Beta sorority sisters of the bride. They wore frocks of blue chiffon over taffeta and car ried bouquets of white glame lias and miniature carnations. Their veils and shoes match ed their dresses. John King, Boise, Idaho, Phi Gamma Delta fraternity brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Seating the guests were Daniel Chris tensen, Eugene, brother of the bride, Peter Rasmussen and Terry O'Sullivan and Dwight Davis, Portola Valley, Calif., both fraternity brothers of the bridegroom. Miss Mira Frohnmayer was soloist and playing the organ wedding music was Mrs. Dud ley Peterson. Baskets of white gladioli and tall candelabra decorated the church. Mothers Wear Silk For her daughter's wedding and the reception which fol lowed at the Christensen home garden, Mrs. Christen sen chose a turquoise silk crepe sheath dress with match' ing accessories. Her flowers were pink baby roses. Mrs, Manley wore a pink silk sheath dress with matching accessories and her corsage was of rose colored baby roses. Blue dephinium, gladioli and white miniature carna tions decorated the Christen sen home for the reception. Families Attend Recent Reunion Children and grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Earl E. Nill, 25 Myers court, were In Med ford last week for a family reunion, the first in several years for the couple's four children. Here were Mr. and Mrs. Roy G. Rogers (nee Lucille Nill) and children, Kim Brant and Gary, Seattle; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Nill, and daughters, Carla and Earlene, Broken Arrow, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Nill and sons, Martin, Shannon and Eric, Eugene; and Mr. and Mrs. John E. Ousterhout (nee Eve lyn Nill) and children, Gret- chen, Alan and John, Eagle Point. Only Michael Nill, son of Eugene Nill, was absent. He is a student at Warner (Okla.) Junior college, Guests Hornbrook - Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Madi son were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bolton, San Leandro, Calif. The Madison's son, Larry, left by bus recently in spend two weeks with the Boltons. Shower Given For Miss Revel; Wedding Soon Ashland-Miss Dixie Revel was guest of honor Thursday evening In the Fireside room of the First Presbyterian church at a miscellaneous bridal shower given by the Women's Association of the church. Favors of tiny parasols bearing bits of advice to the bride served as introductions for the more than 40 guests who then enjoyed watching as each gift was unwrapped. Assisting were Mrs. Gene Holt, Carlista Holland and the bride's sister, Christy Revel. A pastel color scheme was used In decorations of the lace-covered table from which refreshments were served. Mrs. Glenn Revel poured and Mrs. B. J. Holland was In charge of the shower. Miss Revels marriage to Ronald Baker Jr. of Medford will be solemnized August 24 at 8 p.m. In the First Pres byterian church. Wedding Date Is Announced Mr. and Mrs. George Graf, Redding, Calif., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Katherine Diane, to Ronald Lawrence Reich, son of Mrs, Woodrow Reich and grand son of Mrs. Walter Grnnt, all of 527 Bush street, Central Point. The bride-elect attended Shasta Union High school and was graduated from Shasta Junior college. She is em ployed by the Bureau of Rec lamation. Mr. Reich attended Medford High school and Shasta Junior college and is a senior at Southern Oregon college majoring in elemen tary education. The wedding is planned (or September 7 In Redding. It has been over 50 years since Mr. Ner ton has seen some of his cou sins who are attending. Miss Martha Sanborn, Medford and Port land, another sorority sister, was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Robert Sleeter greeted the guests. The couple traveled to Lake Tahoe on their wedding trip, the bride wearing a gold silk sheath dress with matching mohair jacket and beige ac cessories. They are making their home at Hunter Lake drive, Number 32, Reno, where the bridegroom is a sales representative for Crown Zellerbach company. Bride Will Teach The bride is a graduate of Medford High school and the University of Oregon. She will teach elementary school in the Washoe County school district this fall. Mr. .Manley is a graduate of Medford High school and the University of Oregon. The evening prior to the wedding a rehearsal dinner was held in the patio garden of the Robert Sleeter home with Mr. and Mrs. Manley as cohosts. Miss Anne McDuffee to Roy Hart has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul McDuffee, 2000 Hillcrest road, Medford. Mr. Hart is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Hart, Wil liams, Oregon. Both young people attend Oregon State university, where Miss McDuffee is a member of Sigma Kappa, and he, of Kappa Delta Rho. No date has been set for the wedding. Women Attend Festival Plays Ashland-Women in the in surance business in both Jack son and Josephine counties joined another capacity audi ence at the Oregon Shake spearean Festival in Ashland Saturday night to see "The Merry Wives of Windsor." The 30 women representing the Rogue Valley Insurance Women, a Grants Pass organ ization, and the Insurance Women of Jackson county, at tended the Festival as a group. Susan Brennan Engaged to Wed Mr. Rasmussen Mr. and Mrs. Dan Brennan, 424 Valley View drive, Med ford, announce the engage ment of their daughter, Miss Susan Brennan, to Peter Ras mussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rasmussen, 21 Acorn way, Medford. He is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Roberts, 1815 Crown avenue, Medford. Both young people are graduates of Medford High school, and both are in their senior year at the University of Oregon. Miss Brennan, an English major, Is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta so rority, and Mr. Rasmussen, a physical education major, is a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Parties Honor Mrs. Denman; Wedding Set A number of recent par ties have honored Mrs. Ken neth Denman, Medford, whose wedding to John Horner, the Applegate, has been set for August 24. The ceremony will be held at the home , of Mr. and Mrs. Allan F. Perry, Old Military road. Thursday three hostesses, Mrs. Scott V, Davis, Mrs. E. L. Lenox and Mrs. Donald A. Hutchinson honored Mrs. Denman at an evening party. Dessert was served at 7:30 o'clock and Mrs. Denman was presented gift. About 30 guests attended the event, held at the Davis home 1914 East Main street. Friday evening Mrs. C. Weldon Kline gave a dinner for Mrs. Denman and Mr. Horner at her home, 18 South Groveland avenue. Earlier this month Mrs. Alan Ray and Mrs. John Henderson honor ed Mrs. Denman at a shower given at the Ray home on Morrow road. Guests were women employees in the county assessor's office, where Mrs. Denman has been on the staff. Mrs. Denman and Mr. Hor ner were honored at a bar becue dinner given by Mrs. Armin Richter and Mrs. Leon Offenbacher in the garden of the Richter home, Little Applegate. Shady Cove Club Announces Show Shady Cove - Shady Cove Garden club will hold its an nual standard flower show Friday, September 13, at the Lady of Fatima Parish hall, Shady Cove, from 1:30 to 8 p.m. Of special interest will be a junior section, to include rooted plant material, collec tions, and project material pertaining to the housing and feeding of birds.
