Manky-Christensen Rites Held
Miss Judy Jean Christen

of Thomat Earl Hanley, Reno,
Nev., in a double-ring cere
mony held August 11 at First
Presbyterian church.
Dr. D. Kirkland West offi
ciated at the four o'clock aft
ernoon rites attended by 250
relatives and friends. Mr. and
Mrs. Earl M. Manley, parents
of the bridegroom, came from
Eeno for the wedding.
The bride wore a 'floor
length gown of white tissue
taffeta fashioned with scoop
neckline, fitted bodice and
overskirt. The neckline, elbow
length sleeves, waistline and
skirt front were accented with
appliques of peau d'ange lace.
Her veil of imported silk il
lusion was held by a pillbox
hat trimmed with seed pearls
and she carried a bouquet of
white butterfly roses and
miniature carnations. Her
jewelry was a single pearl
and diamond pendent, a gift
of the bridegroom. Mr. Chris
tensen escorted his daughter
to the altar and gave her in
marriage.

Miss Jill Christensen was
honor attendant for her sister.
Other attendants were Mrs.
Daniel Christensen, Eugene,
her sister-in-law, and Miss
Jacklyn Creager, Miss Linda
Glaholt, Berkeley, Calif., and
Miss Peggy Smith, Piedmont,
Calif., all Gamma Phi Beta
sorority sisters of the bride.
They wore frocks of blue
chiffon over taffeta and car
ried bouquets of white glame
lias and miniature carnations.
Their veils and shoes match
ed their dresses.
John King, Boise, Idaho,
Phi Gamma Delta fraternity
brother of the bridegroom,
served as best man. Seating
the guests were Daniel Chris
tensen, Eugene, brother of the
bride, Peter Rasmussen and
Terry O'Sullivan and Dwight
Davis, Portola Valley, Calif.,
both fraternity brothers of the
bridegroom.
Miss Mira Frohnmayer was
soloist and playing the organ
wedding music was Mrs. Dud
ley Peterson. Baskets of white
gladioli and tall candelabra
decorated the church.
Mothers Wear Silk
For her daughter's wedding
and the reception which fol
lowed at the Christensen
home garden, Mrs. Christen
sen chose a turquoise silk
crepe sheath dress with match'
ing accessories. Her flowers
were pink baby roses. Mrs,
Manley wore a pink silk
sheath dress with matching
accessories and her corsage
was of rose colored baby
roses.
Blue dephinium, gladioli
and white miniature carna
tions decorated the Christen
sen home for the reception.

evening In the Fireside room
of the First Presbyterian
church at a miscellaneous
bridal shower given by the
Women's Association of the
church.
Favors of tiny parasols
bearing bits of advice to the
bride served as introductions
for the more than 40 guests
who then enjoyed watching
as each gift was unwrapped.
Assisting were Mrs. Gene
Holt, Carlista Holland and
the bride's sister, Christy
Revel.
A pastel color scheme was
used In decorations of the
lace-covered table from which
refreshments were served.
Mrs. Glenn Revel poured and
Mrs. B. J. Holland was In
charge of the shower.

Ronald Baker Jr. of Medford
will be solemnized August
24 at 8 p.m. In the First Pres
byterian church.

The bride is a graduate of

is a graduate of Medford High
school and the University of
Oregon.

wedding a rehearsal dinner
was held in the patio garden
of the Robert Sleeter home
with Mr. and Mrs. Manley as
