David Heuiel (Priim photo) Tour Scheduled Of Lily Garden The Shady Cove (jarden club will tour the day lily gardens of Mrs. Thomas M Jutkins on Elliot Creek road, Wilderville, Tuesday July 9. They will meet at the borne of Mrs. DeJbert Spain at 10 a.m. and arrive at Wilderville at noon. The annual picnic dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mm. Paul Robinson on Crater Lake highway, Eagle Point, In June. Following the dinner the business meeting was held at which time .new officers were installed. They were Mrs. H. G. Bressler, - president; Mrs. Arthur Schleicher, vice pres ident; Mrs. Delbert Spato, sec ond vice president; Mrs. R. A. Pfcifer, secretary; Mrs. Frank Fllnk, treasurer, and Mrs. Bela Molnar, historian. Mrs. Bressler appointed her committee chairmen for the coming year. They are Mrs. Arthur Schleicher, program; Mrs. Chester Calloway, pub licity; Mrs. Wendell Stalker, hospitality, Mrs. O. L. Wil liams, membership; Mrs. Floyd Kolley, community pro ject; Mrs. Carolyn Kelsey, horticulture; Mrs. Delmer Lo gan, birds; Mrs. Edwin Stro- ther, conservation; Mrs. J. A. McCorkle, litter bug; Mrs. Carl Hanson, librarian; Mrs. William Shepherd, wild flow ers; Mrs. Spain, flower show chairman; Mrs. M. G. Cole, flower arrangement; Mrs. George Field, auditor; and Mrs. Spain, Mrs. Field and Mrs. Hanson on the year book. In Eugene Talent - Mr. and Mrs. Clar ence Holmes spent the July 4 holiday at the home of their daughter in Eugene. Ashland - Miss Janet Bob bett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bobbett, 400 Liberty street, became the bride of David Housel June 29 in high noon ceremony at Our Lady of the Mountain Cath- olic church. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Housel, S47 Oakdale drive, Medford. The double ring service was performed by the Rev. wil- Iiam Walsh before more than 60 guests. The candlelighted altar had a background of white gladioli. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length frock of organza and Chantilly lace over taffeta. The Sabrina neckline was embroidered with sequins and seed pearls and the skirt of controlled fullness was made with front panel of lace. A petal crown of Chantilly lace with inner tiara of Iridescent crys- tals and pearls held her elbow length veil of illusion net. She carried a white prayer book and a while orchid. Miss Karen Hinrichs as maid of honor wore a blue and white flowered dress. Miss Joy Fahrenhurst, brides' maid, wore a similarly styled dress in pink. Both wore matching small veiled hats and carried pink carnation bouquets. Dwight Kenner, Medford, was best man, and John Mur ray, Grants Pass, ushered. Professional and recessional organ music was played by Miss Marilyn Fellers. After the church ceremony parents of the couple hosted a reception at the Housel home in Medford. For their trip to Portland the bride chose a brown and yellow plaid suit with white accessories and a white orchid as a corsage. The couple is now living at 27 North Main street. Both will return to Southern Oregon college in the fall. During the .summer Mr. Housel is employed by the Olson-Lawyer mill. LaMara Ann Gurney Bride of Lloyd Dunham ' Miss LaMara Ann Gurney became the bride of Lloyd Ardcn Dunham in a single ring ceremony held June 30, at the First Methodist church. The three o'clock wedding was performed by Dr. George Rose berry. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gurney 1416 Whitman avenue. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dunham Savage Creek road, Rogue River. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ardcn Dunham . (Brainerd photo) The bride wore a floor length sheath dress of organ za over taffeta with fitted bo dice, scoop neckline, and three-quarter length sleeves. The detachable overskirt in modified bell shape, was fas tened at the front with a self fabric bow. Her elbow length veil of handrolled silk illu sion was held by a satin pill box hat trimmed with appli ques of reembroidered Alcn con lace and pearls. Her single strand of pearls were a gift of the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet of white, orchid and pink rose buds, and white stephanotis on a white Bible. Mr. Gurney gave his daughter in mar riage. Miss Charlene Francis was maid of honor, and brides maids were the Misses Sandra Meggers, Ashland, and Kar lene Wiltermood. Candlelight ers were the Misses Rhonda and Rholinda Stevens. The attendants wore jacket sheath dresses of lavender and and pink taffeta with bell skirts, and matching shoes. Their veil headpieces were of matching roses and nylon tulle. LaMora Jane Parker serv ed as flower girl and Danny Parker was ring bearer. Gary M. Huntington, Ash land, served as best man, and Jack L. Spencer, cousin of the bride, and Raymond Gur ney Jr., brother of the bride, were ushers. The church was decorated with pink, white and lavender gladioli. Mrs. Gurney wore a pink linen dress with a three-quarter length coat of matching lace, with matching accessor ies for her daughter's wed- Rolla Spencer, all Coss Bay; ding. Mrs. Dunham chose a pink shantung dress with pink and white accessories. More than 200 guests at tended the wedding which was followed by a garden re ception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Statten, 1132 Leland avenue. For their wedding trip to the Oregon and California coasts, the bride wore a blue and white Italian knit suit with white accessories. The bride is a graduate of Occanside, Calif., High school. The bridegroom was graduat ed from Rogue River High school and is employed at Vancouver Plywood, Grants Pass. They will be at home at the LeMoss apartments, Grants Pass. Among the out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gurney, uncle and aunt of the bride, and son Gary, Chicago, 111.; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lakey and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lakey, and Mrs. Local Student Miss Carol Konschot, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Konschot, 1820 Crown avenue, has been awarded a grant for her junior and sen ior years at Westlake School for Girls, Los Angeles, Calif. Miss Konschot will be a counselor at the scout camp at Lake of the Woods this summer.
