Doyle-Rausch Rites Held MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE. MEDFORD. OREGON SUNDAY. JUNE 30. 1981 Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Rich ard Doyle Jr.. wed in a cere mony June 22, are to return today from a southern Cali fornia honeymoon. They will live at 311 Howard street, Medford. The bride is the former Miss Virginia Rose Rausch, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. E W Rausch, 3061 Table Rock road, Medford. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dom inic Doyle, 531 Apple street, Medford. The Rev. John Hg celebrat ed the 6 o'clock evening mass and officiated for the wedding ceremony held in Sacred Heart Catholic church. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. Her floor length gown of Chantilly lace and tulle over taffeta was designed with ' a fitted bodice and long sleeves. The scalloped sweetheart neck line was embroidered with pearls and iridescent se quins. The bouffant petal skirt was of lace over tulle with lace appliques accented by sequins and pearls. Her pure silk illusion fingertip veil was held from a queen's crown embroidered with pearls and sequins highlighted with rhinestones. The bride's bouquet was of red roses and white carnations which she placed on the side altar fol lowing the ceremony. Miss Anita Johnson, Hal stead, Kan., a cousin of the bride, was the honor attend ant and Mrs. Paul Brugato, Shelton, Wash., was bridesma tron for her sister. Miss Jenni fer Espey was the bridesmaid. Their gowns were of mint green brocade made with scoop necklines and bell skirts. They wore matching green veiled hats and carried nosegays of red roses and white carnations. Donald Rausch, a brother of the bride was best man and seating the guests were Mr. Brugato and Michael Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Richard Doyle Jr. (Brainerd photo) Groomsmen were George Doyle, Yreka, a brother of the bridegroom, and Francis Mur phy. The church and altars were decorated with red and white gladioli and the pew ends were marked w-ith the same flowers. Bruno Pellegrini played the organ music. About 200 guests attended the wedding ceremony and ISO were at the reception giv en by the bride's parents in the knights of Columbus hall. A buffet supper was served and dancing was a diversion of the evening. Bouquets of roses and wedding bells decor ated the hall. Special guests at the wed ding and reception were Mrs. Angela Keiper, Colwich, Kan., grandmother of the bride, and Mrs. Nancy Wcitzel, Yreka, Calif., grandmother of the bridegroom. During the reception Mrs. Robert Doyle, Yreka, a sister-in-law of the bridegroom, and Miss Dottle Bilderbach, poured the punch. Mrs. Thom as Hora served the coffee and the Misses Ramona Rausch, a sister of the bride, Sherry and Beth Hall and Diane Maehren, had charge of the gifts. Mrs. Jerome Maehren and Mrs. Vernon Hall served the cake, and Miss Sharon Walters reg istered the guests. Kathy, Christine and Cyn thia B a 1 e m a n distributed packets of rice. The bride, now a student at Medford Beauty school, at tended St. Mary's High school and Medford High school. The bridegroom attended Canyon- ville schools and is with tne prod department of Safe way, Inc. For traveling the bride chose a beige suit with yellow accessories and her corsage was of white carnations. " Mr. Hall-Bertrand Ceremony Of Interest in Valley News has been received here of the marriage of Judith Carole Bcrtrand and Dr. Richard Lee Hall which was an event of June IS in Whit- tier, Calif. The bride, who hasi been living in Encino, Calif., is a daughter of Mr. and, Mrs. Robert C. Browne, 2433 Capital avenue, Medford. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. L. L. Hall, Monterey Park, Calif., and the late Dr. Hall. The rites were solemnized at 4 o clock in the afternoon in the First Methodist church. The bride, given in mar riage by her brother, Martin Robert Browne, wore a pcau de soie street length gown with sheath linos and full overskirt. The embroidered satin cummerbund was trim med with an obi bow at the back. A pearl crown held her elbow length veil and the bridal bouquet was of white orchids. Miss Lynne Hall, Monterey Park, a sister of the bride groom, was maid of honor. Ver non, Wash., when Miss Janice Jane Atkins of that city be came the bride of Thomas James Alley, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Alley, 124 Green way circle, Medford. Her par ents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Atkins. The Rev. Carroll Spraguc officiated at the rites held June 15 at 8 o'clock in the evening. Baskets of orchid gladioli and white snapdrag ons decorated the church and the center aisle. Harold Fisher was organist and Henry Lean der was soloist. The bride wore a floor length gown of white silk fashioned with fitted bodice, elbow length sleeves and full silk skirt with matching roses at the waistline in back, The cathedral length train was of Chantilly lace and appliques of the lace were on the bodice. Her veil was of tiers of English tulle and fell from a taffeta and Alencon lace pill box hat which was edged with seedpearls with a single pearl drop in the front. She carried white gardenias and stephan otis. Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom. Wear Lilac Frocks Miss Janice Hermanson was maid of honor and brides maids were Miss Mary Mcll raith, Miss Karen Montgom ery and Miss Janet Hanson. They wore frocks of nylon or gandy in lilac color over taf feta fashioned with belled skirts. Miss Hermanson car ried a nosegay bouquet of white carnations and gar denias and the other attend ants' bouquets were of carna tions. Miss Darcy Gearhart. Mt. Vernon, and Miss Nancy Rolff, Vallcjo, Calif., sorority sister of the bride, were candle lighters. They wore white lin en sheath dresses with match ing accessories and corsages of white rosebuds and laven der lace. Gerald Fanger, Tacoma, Wash., served as best man for his cousin. Seating the guests were Dale Smith, Medford; N. K. Potter Jr., Los Altos, Calif., and Dr. Richard H. Alley, Pasadena, Calif., brother of the bridegroom. Mrs. Atkins chose a silk crepe dress of antique gold color with matching accessor ies for her daughter's wed ding. Her corsage was of green cymbidium orchids. Mrs. Alley wore a rose-beige silk chiffon dress with match ing accessories. Her corsage chids, Orchid colored gladioli and white snapdragons decorated the rooms at the church where the reception was held. A lei of vanda orchids, sent from Hawaii by sorority sisters of tne bride, encircled the punch bowl. Reception Held In charge of the reception were Mrs. Gordon Hermanson and Mrs. R. B. Plummcr. Miss Marilyn Fanger and Miss Sara Sprause cut and served the tiered wedding cake. Pouring were Mrs. Douglas Atkins, sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. John Bcllach, Eugene. sister of the bridegroom. Miss Marilyn Sandall, Miss Darcy Palmer and Miss Linda Sun- drcd, also sorority sisters of the bride, served punch and Miss Mary Lee Clark, Med ford, was in charge of the guest book. The couple (raveled to southern California on their wedding trip, the bride wear ing a pink silk sleeveless sheath dress with matching coat and hat and white ac cessories. Her corsage was of phalaenopsis orchids. They are making their home at 1004 South Holly street. The bride attended the Uni versity of Oregon and will continue her studies at South ern Oregon college. She is af filiated with Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Mr. Alley at tended the University of Ore gon and was graduated from Mcnlo Men's college, Mcnlo Park, Calif. Among the out of town guests attending the wedding and reception were Mr. and Mrs. Bud Golden, Medford; Mrs. Alma Engbcrtson, Santa Monica, Calif., grandmother of the bridegroom; Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Alley, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Gausman, and daughter, Sue, and Miss Jean Gansert, all Los Angeles. t.... " Mist Carol Wilcox Parents Tell Of Engagement Central Point-Mr, and Mrs L. A. Wilcox Jr., Willow Springs road, Central Point, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Carol Wilcox, to Max Burton, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Burton, Pioneer road, Phoenix. White gladioli and white roses decorated the church. About 300 guests were at the ceremony and some 250 attended the garden reception given by Mrs. Margerct R. Miller at her home in East Whittier. Following the re ception a dinner was served at The Steak and Stein restau rant in Whittier, attended by the wedding group and fam ily members. The couple made a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mex ico. The bride's pale green traveling suit was of silk and her accessories were In light bronze. They will live in Santa Monica. The bride attended Medford High school and Los Angeles City college. At the present she is employed as a cred, reporter for Allied Bulldini Credits, and in the fall plans to return to college. The bridegroom is a grad uate of Stanford university and the University of Chicago Medical school. He is a mem ber of Sigma Chi fraternity. Dr. Hall Is a resident in sur gery at Wadsworth General hospital. Veterans center, Sawtclle. Heaths Leave For Maryland Mr. ana Mrs. uary ticatn recently left Medford for Laurel, Md., where they will make their home while Mr. Heath, a specialist four in the U.S. Army, is stationed at Ft. Meade, Md. Mrs. Heath, the former Aedene Jensen, Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Jen sen, Route 1, box 28S, Eagle Point. She has been attending Southern Oregon college and at the end of the school year Mr. Heath arrived here from Maryland and the couple drove East. They will make their home at 11 North Gail, box 55, Barbers Trailer court In Laurel. Wedding News Is Announced Yreka - Mrs. Clara Wigley, Montague, and B. M. Pruett, Yreka, were married June 17 at the Federated church in Alluras, Calif. The Rev. C. E. Olson officiated at the cere mony. Accompanying the couple to Alturas for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Pru ett, brother and sister-in-law of the bridegroom, who serv ed as their attendants. For her marriage the bride chose a blue afternoon dress worn with white accessories. Following the rites the cou ple made a honeymoon trip into central Oregon. They will reside In Yreka. C 3 Reception Honors Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. George H. Bell, Medford Plaza apart ments, whose marriage was an event of June 16 in Reno, Nev., were honored at a re ception June 19 in Rogue Valley Country club. Mrs. Bell is the former Miss Sarah Ellen Groves, until recently of Portland. Hosts for the reception were Mr. and Mrs. John A. Snider and Mrs. Christine Miles. Among the some 50 guests who attended were employees at Medford City hall and the Medford Mail Tribune, and their husbands and wives. Mrs. Miles presided at the punch bowl and wedding cake was served. The bride's table was decorated with an ar rangement of spider chrysan themums and gladioli. Later the hosts entertained the newly wedded pair at din ner in the club. Mr. and Mrs. Bell plan to leave this afternoon for a week's wedding trip to Klam ath Falls, Portland and the Oregon coast. In Klamath Falls they will be guests of Mr. Bell's mother, Mrs. Clair Martin, where his sister, Mrs. William Bates, Carlsbad, Calif., also is a guest. In Portland, the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Groves will be hosts Mon day evening for a reception honoring the couple. From there the Bells will travel along the Oregon coast. Relaiives Visit In Prospect Home Prospect - Guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Clevenburg, are a sister of Mrs. Clcvenburg, Mrs. Robert Sparks, Warren, Conn., and an uncle, Claude B. Brower, and his wife, Mrs. Brower, McMinnvllle, Ore, Mrs. Sparks and her hus band, the Rev. Robert Sparks, were exchange teachers on the Fulbright program for several years, having taught in Europe and Africa.
