The vast majority of them, J of course, lack the glamor of astronauts or military men, but they do have their own t special brand of courage. It is the courage to venture forth day after day to wrest a living ; for their families from a high t ly competitive world. American Dads, perhaps ' more than any others, devote - a great portion of their leisure time with their children. Where men in other coun- tries and other cultures deem such tasks as being beneath v their dignity, the American father starts in early by ,; proudly pushing a pram, and boasting that he is as skilled with a diaper pin as he is with a fishing rod. f Enthusiastic As a matter of fact, most American fathers are enthu- siastic companions to their ; children, sharing many of i their interests, usually in the v realm of entertainment and sports. J And, when problems or (troubles complicate their K young lives, they once again "'turn to Dad who, they know, like a snug harbor in a storm tswept world, is waiting to "help them weather the gale.
