Collier came to the ABC prepared to bowl in the regu lar division, but was informed that he had to perform as a professional. His companions on the North Versailles Bowl team of McKeesport, Pa., came up with the $64 entry fee and Collier went on to take seventh place in the classic singles with a 687 series. This was Collier's first ABC and his fourth tournament ap pearance of any kind. He joined the Professional Bowl ers association three weeks ago. In the booster division a new leader emerged for the first time since March 27. An drea T.V. of San Juan, P.R., took first place with 2815, re placing Ridge Lanes of Ridge way, Ont. The Ridge team dropped to second with 2787. The booster division is re served for teams averaging 850 or less. Houston led 7-4 going into the eighth inning, but reliever Don McMahon filled the bases and Bailey blasted his pitch 390-fcct over the right field wall. Felipe Alou hit a homer and Orlando Cepeda added three hits for the Giants. Koufax Finger Okay Don Dcmeter singled home the tie-breaking run and then Dalrymple connected - both coming on the first pitch served by the Reds' fourth hurlcr, Jim Brosnan. Johnny Callison also homered for the Phils. Koufax, sidelined for the last half of the 1962 season with a circulatory ailment on his pitching finger, showed no effects from the injury, strik ing out 10 Cubs. With stars Maury Wills, Tommy Davis and Bill Skowron benched with injuries the Dodgers made the most of five hits to beat old nemesis Bob Buhl. Washburn set the Mcts down on four hits, handing Casey Stengel's team its sec ond straight shutout. Dick Groat's homer and Bill White's three hits paced the Cardinal's attack.
