nament on Wednesday was
turned in by 18-year-old Dick
Coollier of Pittsburgh, who
had to borrow money to roll
in tne classic division.
Collier came to the ABC
prepared to bowl in the regu
lar division, but was informed
that he had to perform as a
professional. His companions
on the North Versailles Bowl
team of McKeesport, Pa.,
came up with the $64 entry
fee and Collier went on to
take seventh place in the
classic singles with a 687
series.
This was Collier's first ABC
and his fourth tournament ap
pearance of any kind. He
joined the Professional Bowl
ers association three weeks
ago.
In the booster division a
new leader emerged for the
first time since March 27. An
drea T.V. of San Juan, P.R.,
took first place with 2815, re
placing Ridge Lanes of Ridge
way, Ont. The Ridge team
dropped to second with 2787.
The booster division is re
served for teams averaging
850 or less.
