Fashion has captured all the romance of the day in gowns that radiate youthful elegance. Spring's most romantic wedding gowns are inspired by fashion's fondness for higher waistlines. The following grace of Em pire-styling, which by-passes the natural waist or cinches it with a cummerbund for a raised effect, makes it espec ially flattering for any bride. In addition to the Empire style, fashion romances the spring bride with slim prin cess silhouettes, bell-shapes, A-lines and classically simple styles. Delicate and feminine, any one of the new gowns will make the most important member of the wedding feel and look younger than spring, time. Necklines With elevated waistlines drawing attention upward bridal fashions focus on a flat tering array of portrait, "V," and bateau necklines. Many of spring's most fash ionable wedding gowns create back interest with cathedral and chapel trains, bustles, panels, garlands and sashes. The Watteau back, with train cascading from almost shoul der level, is often used with Empire styling. More and more brides are choosing formal weddings, perhaps because today's floor length formal gowns often have detachable trains and take-off jackets permitting them to be worn again after the wedding. , Romantic Spring bridal fashions are as romantic in fabric as they are in line. Among the love liest are silk organzas, peau de soies, organzas over taf feta and laces tucked and tiered. The traditional bride will want a white or ivory gown, but others may prefer spring's pretty pale pink, blue or champagne shades. COLORFUL HOUSEWARES White is still the leading color preference of home makers when they choose housewares, but blue is com. ing up strong, according to a recent nationwide survey. Yellow, turquoise, pink, beige, green and brown are other popular choices. MATCHING HANDBAGS 19.93 plus tax Projections of Beauty, rfnndsomely defined. Gloves Will Yary In Style, Length Short, bloused shirt sleeves; long, tapered sleeves; wide, flaring sleeves and no sleeves at all are some of the fash ions spring gloves must be prepared to handle. Result is a variety of glove lengths and, even more im portant, a variety of styles. Often the character of the glove, rather than the length, determines what glove should be worn. Generally, six and four-button lengths appear with cuf fed and tapered sleeves, eight and ten-button types with short and no-sleeve styles. But newer and even more fashion able are such ideas as the wrist-length shorties with the sleeveless or ihor t-sleeved fashion. Refreshing accompaniment for the short, tight sleeve is a wide-cuffed, long glove, pulled on over the sleeve. Understated colors, includ ing a number of neutrals, glove the hand for spring. Amber to bisque tones, rich browns, subtle off-greens and pinks make news. In any case, hues are at hand to compli ment each and every costume. SEE THEM! NOW!
