Angel Honors Newly weds Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Thomas Buchholz, whose marriage was a recent event in Medford, were honored at a reception December 9 giv en by the parents of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Buchholz at their home in Mt. Angel, Ore. The bride is the former Miss Gail Ann Glidden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Glidden, 243 South Stage road, Medford. The couple is living at Route 1, Box 68, Mt. Angel. The bride, a graduate of Pro vidence school of nursing in Portland, is employed as a registered nurse jn the Salem Memorial hospital. The bride groom, a graduate of Mt. Angol college, is a farmer. The nuptial mass was cele brated at 11 o'clock in the morning, November 24 in the Medford Sacred Heart church, by 1he Rev. Athon asius Buchholz, n brother of the bridegroom. The double ring rites wore used. The church was decorated with while pompon chrysan themums arranged by Miss Pauline Buchholz and Mrs. Bertrand Smith of Woodburn, Ore. Bride Wears Satin The bride wore a satin gown with scoop neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. The bell skirt was designed with a brush train and was decorated on the back at the waist with a Dior rose. A sunburst crown of seed pearls held her pouf veil of silk illusion. She carried a cascade bouquet of white rosebuds and two white or chids, and a crystal rosary which was a gift from the bridegroom. Miss Janet Glidden, a sis ter of the bride, was the honor attendant, and Miss Pa tricia Alton, Portland was bridesmaid. They wore matching gowns of ice blue brocade with scoop necklines and wrapped bell skirts. Miss Glidden carried a bouquet of yellow roses and Miss Alton's bouquet was of pink roses. Carl Buchholz, a brother of the bridegroom from Mt. An gel, was best man, and the groomsman was Lawrence Glidden, brother of the bride. Miss Sara Robinson was the organist and altar boys were Douglas Van Dyke and Kurt Kruger. Seating the guests were Roy Griesen houson, Mt. Angel, and Jo seph Barrett, Corvallis. Among the guests was Sever Knutson, Eureka, grandfather of the bride. The mother of the bride wore a cerise brocade suit with satin ribbon hat and the bridegroom's mother wore a black brocade jacket dress with winter white hat. Both wore pink tea rose corsages. The reception given by the bride's parents was held in the banquet room of North's Chuck Wagon restaurant. For traveling the bride chose a blue knit with black embroidery and black acces sories. They made their wed ding trip to Las Vegas, Nev. Beth Potter Is Wed To George Bibby Gold Hill - Of interest to valley residents is the mar riage of Beth L. Potter to George A. Bibby. The Rev Robert Maxson, pastor of Hope Presbyterian church, Rogue River, officiated at the double-ring wedding cere mony performed at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Decern- ber 8 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter M. Riis, route 1 box 67, Rogue River. After a wedding trip to var ious places in Oregon, the newlywcds are making their home at 714 Pleasant street, Roscville, Calif. Arrangements of bronze and yellow chrysanthemums in tall white baskets in front of the fireplace provided a setting for the ceremony. The bride wore a powder blue dress suit, with black patent accessories and a yellow rose bud corsage. She carried a white Bible with yellow rose buds. Matron of honor was Mrs. Peter Riis. She wore a mist green suit and her corsage was red rosebuds. Best man was William R. Bibby, Roseville. About 25 close friends and relatives attended the wed ding and reception. Poinsettias and ferns decor aled the family room at the Riis home where the recep tion was held. Lighted white tapers were in silver cande labra on the bride's table. Mrs. William R. Bibby, sis ter-in-law to the bridegroom, kept the guest book. Mrs, Walter Yordan, Grants Pass, poured coffee. Mrs. John Gar rison, Gold Hill, cut and served the cake and presided at the punch bowl. The bride has resided in the Gold Hill area about 22 years. Prior to her marriage she was a nurse's aide at Crater Osteo pathic hospital in Central Point. Mrs. Bibby is a former resident of Alliance, Nebras ka where she attended Alli ance High school. Her par ents are Mr. and Mrs. Levi G. Burton, of Alliance. The bridegroom is a clerk for Southern Pacific company at Roseville. He is a former resident of southern Oregon having attended Ashland High school and Southern Oregon college. While on their honeymoon in Oregon, the couple planned to visit Mr. and Mrs. Ben Newell at Salem. Mr. Newell is county agent there. She is the former Phylis Miller, Gold Hill. Camp Announces Christmas Party Mistletoe camp, Royal Neighbors of America, will hold a Christmas party Thurs day, December 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Knights of Pythias hall. Santa Claus Is expected to attend and treats will be available for the children. Re freshments will be served. All RNA members, juvenile club members and guests are invited to attend. The bride is the former Miss Paula Gale Johnston of Milwaukie, Ore., a stewardess for West Coast airlines, and the bridegroom is station agent for the lines in Med ford. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. John ston of Milwaukie and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bear, former ly of Medford, now of Horn brook, Calif. Nuptial Mast The nuptial mass was cele brated by the Rev. James Spink in St. John's Catholic church in Oregon City at twelve noon. Double ring riles were used for the cere mony attended by about 150 guests. Mr. Johnston escorted his daughter to the altar. For her wedding the bride chose a lace gown over satin with fitted bodice to the hip- line and full hooped skirt. The three-quarter length veil was fastened on a white tulle rose cap. She carried a cas cade bouquet of small yellow rosebuds with stephanotis on a white prayer book. The honor attendant, Miss Louise Gescwill, Seattle, and Miss Linda Mathewson, Ren- ton, Wash., the bridesmaid, wore moss green brocade dresses with bell shaped skirts and their short yellow net veils were held by yellow tulle rose headpieces. Their flowers were small yellow rosebuds and white chrysan themums. Flower Girl The flower girl was Judy Anderson of Molalla, Ore., and her frock was of ice green brocade. Her halo head piece and veil matched her frock and she carried a nose gay of yellow and white flowers. Michael Shaheen. Portland, a cousin of the bride carried the rings. Leonard Bear. Hornbrook, was best man for his brother and seating the guests was Arbold Bear, Seattle, anoth er brother. Cascade bouquets of yellow and white chrysanthemums decorated the altar and yel low bows marked the pew ends. Marian Herbst, West Linn, Ore., played the wedding mu sic and prelude preceding the service. Reception Given The rerrption was held In the church hall. The bride's table was centered with nose gay bouquets of small yellow roses and white chrysanthe mums. The wedding cake made by a longtime friend of the bride, Mrs. Armon Aho, was served by Mrs. Marcus Dugan, Molalla. aunt of the bride, assisted by Mrs. Wal ter Shaheen, Portland, I cousin. Presiding at the punch bowl was Mrs. Stephen Bjoasted, Seattle, and pour ing coffee was Mrs. Frank Mathewson. R t n t o n. Miss Claudette Rothery, Portland, took charge of the guest book, and Miss Darlene Du gan. Molalla. a cousin of the bride, registered the gifts. The bride attended Dickey Prairie and Molalla High schools and for two years at tended Oregon College of ; Education at Monmouth. The bridegroom attended Medford St. Mary's High school and Southern Oregon college. For traveling the bride wore a white wool suit with beige and brown accessories and a yellow rosebud corsage. Couple Making Home On Dark Hollow Road Mr. and Mrs. Lauren Keith Frazicr are living at 314013 Dark Hollow road, following their recent marriage in Med ford and their wedding trip to Crescent City, Calif. The bride is the former Miss Mar ian Govenor, daughter of Mrs. Gladys Govenor, 401 West Second street, Medford, and the late George Govenor. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Frazier, 3340 Dark Hollow road, Med ford. The ceremony was per formed at 7:30 o'clock In the evening, November 21 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Ernest V. O'Dear, Jacksonville, performed the rites. Mrs. Monty Combs, Pros pect, was matron of honor for her sister and bridesmaids were Miss Frances Govenor, another sister; Miss Sharon Mather, Shady Cove, a niece; Mrs. Judy Frazier, a cousin of the bridegroom, and Miss Sue Betts, Prospect. Barry Holt was best man and ushers were Joe Nixon, Mr. Combs and Michael Nix on. Groomsmen were Michael Carey, Klamath Falls, Richard Andrews, Warren Frazier, a brother of the bridegroom, and Kenneth Miller. Bride Wears Lace Vernon Govenor. Prospect, a brother of the bride, gave her in marriage. She wore a ballerina length gown of Chantilly lace and her bouf fant shoulder length veil was held by a headpiece of seed pearls. Her pearls were a gift from the bridegroom and she carried a bouquet of wood roses with stephanotis. The attendants were dress ed in spray green wool sheath frocks with rhineslones trim ming and their headbands matched their frocks. They carried pink carnation nose gay bouquets. Baskets of pink dahlias and white chrysanthemums decor ated the hall. About 225 persons attended the wedding, and about 180 were at the reception held in the American Legion hall In Central Point. Mrs. Holt took charge of the guest book and serving the wedding cake were Mrs. Paul Mather, a sister of the bride, and Mrs. Joe Nixon. At the punch bowl were Miss Pa tricia Blondell and Miss Lois Ann Govenor, a niece of the bride. Miss Andrea Robinson poured the coffee. Miss Mary Lou Govenor, a sister of the bride, Miss Charlotte Mather and Miss Karen Karajala, a niece of the bride, opened the gifts. Music was provided by friends and Mr. and Mrs. For est Lawler were in charge of the reception. The mother of the bride wore a turquoise blue satin dress with black accessories and the mother of the bride groom was. dressed in a tan cashmere and mink suit with brown accessories. Both had pink carnation corsages. The bride is a 1062 gradu ate of Prospect High school and the bridegroom was grad uated from Medford High school. He is employed by the Double Dee Lumber company.
