SUNDAY, Annual WSCS The Woman's Society of Christian service of the First Methodist church will hold their annual Christmas party in conjunction with the regu lar monthly meeting Tuesday, December 18. . Morning meditation at 9:30 a.m. will be under the direc tion of Dr. George Roseberry. His topic will be "The Star." The business meeting will be at 10 a.m. Mrs. Everett Faber, the president, has ask ed that all members complete their Talent Dollar projects, and turn them In at the tneet ed of the gifts for the church kitchen and the welfare cup board sponsored by the Com mission on Social Concerns. Mr. Jack L. Wilcutts performed the ceremony. The bride Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eiford L. Young, 745 Head road, Central Point, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Floyd C. Taylor, Gold Hill. Miss Irita Taylor, a sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor and Miss Arlene Mc Gowan was bridesmaid. Anna Marie Aarscih, Gold Hill, a cousin of the bride, was flower girl and lighting the candles was Debbie Tay lor, a niece of the bridegroom. Carrying the rings was Wil liam Monkcrt of Central Point. Forrest D. The attendants wore pink bridal satin dresses with bell skirts and matching pink veil headpieces. They carried bou quets of white chrysanthe mums with pink carnations. The candlelighler also wore pink bridal satin with match ing headband. Baskets of pink and white chrysanthemums decorated the church. Miss Marian Payne furnish ed the wedding songs and Mrs. Orrin Ogier was the organist. About 90 persons attended the ceremony and the recep tion held in the church rooms. The wedding cake had been baked by the bride's mother and her aunt. Live In Medford The couple made their wed ding trip to Redding, Calif., and for traveling ihe bride wore a white sheath dress and coat. The couple is living at 1 Oafi 14 Spring street, Med ford. The bridegroom is cm ployed at a mill in Rogue River. The bride and bridegroom attended Crater High school. The bridegrpom recently re turned from Japan and Korea after spending 10 months overseas in the Air Force. Seven Girls Initiated by Bethel 69 Seven candidates were re cently initiated Into Bethel 6!), International Order of Job's Daughters at the time of the inspection visit of the grand guardian. They were Misses Joyce Drake, Sonja Eri, Dorothy Waldron, Jill Coltrane, Jeanne Levtzow, Janice Tyrrell, and Diana Kimball. , Following I h e initiation ceremonies, election of of ficers was held. Those elected were Misses Denna Taylor, queen; Charlotte Martin, sen ior princess; Linda North, Jun ior princess; Karen Smith, guide; and Chrislicann Ayres, marshal. Escorted and Introduced were Mrs. Kenneth Gildner, grand guardian; Andrew Slev ens, past grand guardian. Also introduced were Mrs. John North, grand fourth messen ger; Wallace Eri, past guard ian; John Smith, representing the Scottish Rile; and Miss Lynn Bnughner, junior past queen. Mrs. Gildner presented Queen Camille Eri with a cer amic Bible and a bottle of per fume. It was decided thai Ihe bethel would ask for a Masonic grandfather with whom to correspond. Final plans were made for a hayride and hamburger feed lo he held later this month, and the forthcoming Christmas party was discussed. Miss Linda Nelson was solo ist for the evening accom panied by Charlotte Brown. The line officers participat ed in an addendum honoring Mrs. Gildner during which Ihey presented her with a bas ket of fruit after a poem was read. Refreshments were served by Mrs. G. G. Smith, Mrs. Glenn Bailey. Mrs. Robert J. Buckles. Mrs. Wallace Eri and Mrs. Lorrnr Bahcock. Couples Return From Trip South Eagle Point-Mr. and Mrs Bill Bigham and Mr. and Mis. Parrel I Stanley, both o( Eagle Point, returned recently from a week in southern Cali fornia. While (here they saw the finals nf the National Rodeo contest in Los Angeles, visited Marineland. MEDFOBD, ORECON Swedish Picture Scheduled "Sawdust and Tinsel," also known as "The Naked City," a film directed by Ingmar Bergman, will be the next in a current series of moving pictures to be presented by the Rogue Valley Art associa tion. The picture, for which Mr. Bergman also wrote the story, will be shown Tuesday, December 18 at 8:30 p.m., in the Medford High school seminar auditorium. The film will be free of charge to members of the art association and a small fee will be charged for non members. The picture, not recom mended for children, is said to illustrate an important phase in Mr. Bergman's career. There also is some pity and truth in the characterization of the circus director and his mistress, aided by a powerful, Jannings-esque performance by Ake Gronberg, and a sul ky, sensual one by Harriet Anderson. Lighting, decor and music all are used to build up a dark and sinister atmosphere." The story concerns a cir cus, with the principle char acters a middle-aged circus owner who has forsaken his family for an equestrienne; and a young doctor. The picture is in Swedish dialogue with English subtitles. a . - Newly Married Central Point Mr. and Mrs. Gerald A. Love were re cent visitors at the home of Mrs. Love's mother, Mrs. Bt-r-nice E. McCue, and her grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Scott, 134 Laurel street, Cen tral Point. The couple was en route from Los Angeles, Calif., to Portland where they will make their home. Mrs. Love is the former Miss Patti E. McCue. Her fa ther, L. L. McCue, lives in Denver, Colo. The couple's marriage was an event of October 13 in Los Angeles. ! The bridegroom is a son of , Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Love of ; Portland. The bride was graduated in June, 1961 from Crater High school, and attended Califor nia Western university at San Diego, Calif.
