GH Methodist Lists Thanksgiving Topic Gold Hill - "Thanksgiving 1962'' will be the title of the sermon by the Rev. Lochlen L. Gregory, pastor of Gold Hill Community Methodist church on Sunday, at 11 a.m. Mrs. John Bruce will be organist. Food, fellowship, . funds night is schedule' Saturday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m. at the church. A planned potluck dinner will be served and a freewill offering taken will be added to the building fund. Skaar, pas tor of First Southern Baptist church, has been giving a se ries of sermons on "Basis Beliefs," the past few Sun days. For Sunday's morning service he has chosen "Salva tion Is Free," for his topic. The adult choir, with Den nis Sampels directing, will sing. At the 6:30 p.m. service Mr. Skaar will speak again on a subject from the Book of Acts, "The Fellowship of the Church." The youth choir will sing. Beginning Nov. 23, a Train ing Union clinic will be held at the church. The meetings will continue through Friday and Saturday, Nov. 23 and 24, with sessions beginning at 10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. each day. Robert Dove, Portland, secretary of Training Union work for the Baptist General Convention of the Northwest, will be in charge of arrange ments. Guest leaders present will be from the National Sunday school board at Nash ville, Tenn. Emphasis will be on the study of learning methods. PHOENIX TOPIC Phoenix - "Thankfulness' will be the sermon title Sun day at the 11 a.m. worship service at Church of the Naz arene in Phoenix. The Rev. Jack Quails, pastor, will speak. During the service the annual Thanksgiving offering for foreign missions will be received. A communion serv ice will climax the service.
