The Rev. G. O. Skaar, pas
tor of First Southern Baptist
church, has been giving a se
ries of sermons on "Basis
Beliefs," the past few Sun
days. For Sunday's morning
service he has chosen "Salva
tion Is Free," for his topic.
The adult choir, with Den
nis Sampels directing, will
sing.
At the 6:30 p.m. service
Mr. Skaar will speak again on
a subject from the Book of
Acts, "The Fellowship of the
Church." The youth choir will
sing.
Beginning Nov. 23, a Train
ing Union clinic will be held
at the church. The meetings
will continue through Friday
and Saturday, Nov. 23 and 24,
with sessions beginning at
10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. each
day. Robert Dove, Portland,

Convention of the Northwest,
will be in charge of arrange
ments. Guest leaders present
