The Rev. John E. Simon ot St Peter's Lutheran-church officiated at the 7:1)0 o'clock ceremony attended by AO rel atives and friends of the cou ple. The bridegroom is a ;on of Mrs. Arnold Vabconcollos, San Francisco, who was in Medford for the wedding, and the late Mr. Vasconccllos. The bride is a graduate of Medford High school and at tended Oregon State univer sity. She has been an airline hostess with Trans World air lines. It was appliqued with recm broidered rose buds and her shoulder length veil was held by a small crown of roses and seed pearls. She carried white roses on a white Bible. Ona Attendant Miss Constance Guancionc, San Jose, Calif., attended the bride. She wore a satin frock in a deep lavender shade and her flowers were pink and white carnations. Wayne LaVclle, San Jose, Calif., served as best man. Baskets of pink and white gladioli and candles in can delabra at the fireplace serv ed as the background for the wedding party. Bouquets of flowers decorated the other parts of the house. Roy Van Pelt, Klamath Falls, played the organ wedding music. Following the ceremony a buffet supper was served at the Klatt home. Assisting with the serving were the bride's three sisters; Mrs. Larue Smith cut and served the wed ding cake, Mrs. Boyd Ber tiuist, Eugene, poured coffee and Mrs. Gordon Falk served. The couple traveled to Car- mel, Calif., on their wedding trip the bride wearing a deep mauve suit with black acces sories and a white rosebud corsage. They are making their home in San Carlos, Calif. The bride was affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta so cial sorority while at Oregon State university. During the past two years she has liveu in Detroit, Mich., Kansas City, Mo., and San Francisco while an airline stewardess. Mr. Vasconccllos is based at San Francisco International Air port flying routes to the East coast. Among the out of town guests attending were Mrs. Vasconcellos. San Francisco, mother of the bridegroom; Mrs. Florence Klatt, Oakland, Calif., grandmother of the bride, Frank and Angela Stef fan, all San Francisco; Mrs. J. Q. VanPclt and Roy Van Pelt, Klamath Falls; Mr. Ber quist, Eugene, and Mrs. La Velle, San Jose. Rites Held. Thursday Aileen Maddox and Henry Niedermcyer were married Thursday, October 11 in a candle light ceremony per formed by Dr. D. Kirkland West at 6 o'clock in the eve ning in the Firl Presbyterian church. The ceremony was at tended by family members. The bride's sheath dress was of aquamarine crepe and her corsage was a brown orchid. White chrysan t h e m u m s decorated the church. Mrs. Mildred Thames, organist, played Handel's "Arioso." A wedding supper was served by friends and mem bers of the family at the home of the bride, 340 South Grovcland avenue. The bride is employed as a secretary at First Presby terian church, and the bride groom, whose home was at 1445 Kings highway,, is self employed. The couple will live at the Grovcland street address after their wedding trip lo the Oregon coast. , Alphi a Khos Choose Queen Mrs. Vernon Craft was chos en as Valentine queen candi date for the Alpha Rho chap ter of Beta Sigma Phi soror ity during a meeting October 8 in the home of Mrs. Donald Bills, 38 Summit avenue. Mrs. Frank Liska was elect ed for a two-year term as the chapter's representative to the slate convention commit tee. The dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, October 20 in the Girls Community club. The evening will be spent playing cards. Members with names from A through G arc to Like salads; from 11 through M, desserts; M through Z, hot dishes. The club will furnish rolls and coffee. Turner to Alan Schumacher, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Schumacher, Ilcisson, Wash., have been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Turner, Central Point. The wedding is scheduled for November 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Med ford. Central Point, Club Chooses Show Theme Central Point - "Autumn's Wheel of Color" Is the theme for fifth annual Central Point Garden club show of dried and cured plant materials scheduled for October 30 and 31. The show will he held in the Home Extension autitor itim at the fairgrounds in Medford, from 12 noon to 8 p.m., opening day and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the clos ing day, The public is invited to en ter arrangements in the num erous classes which include Halloween, Thanksgiving, ar rangements for any other oc casion, Christmas arrange ments and trees, junior sec tion, arrangements with cones predominating, wreaths, trees, pictures, plaques, corsages, and driftwood. Accessories are permitted in all divisions. This is a non-competitive show done as a community service by members of the club. A silver lea will be served during the show. During 1062 the women will study the blending of color in gardens with color in their homes. Mrs. Fred C. Shore is chair man ior the show with Mrs. Wallace West as cochairman.
