Valentin Newly Married Couple Now Live in Arizona Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rob ert Jenkins arc making their home in Tucson, Ariz., after being married in Medford June 7. Mr. Jenkins is the former Sharon Eva Bickler, and in a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bickler, 1004 West Ninth Jtreel. Mr. Jenkins' parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stewart, Tucson. The bride was graduated In 1962 from Medford High school. Her husband is a grad uate of Sunnyside High school In Tucson, and is now a stu dent at De Vry institute. He Is also employed by Krueger'i Air Conditioning In Tucson. Parry Honors Eureka Woman Mrs. Sheridan W. Scott, 120 White Oak drive, entertained at luncheon Thursday in her home honoring Mrs. William Smullen of Eureka, Calif., who is spending some time at the Smullen's summer home t Coker Butte. Other guests were Mrs. C. Hease Braley, Mrs. Armln Richter, Mrs. E. A. Llltrell nd Mrs. Kenneth Black-hurst. Californians Are Visitors Mr. and Mrs. David Rrai-" nerd and daughters, Jnnellc and Lynn, Pelaluma, Calif., arrived this week end to visit Mrs. Brainerd's mother, Mrs. E. A. Littrell, 140 Oreenway circle, and to vacation at Howard Prairie. Today at the lake rahln they are entertaining Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Brainerd, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Brainerd and Mrs. P. II. Brainerd, ail of Grants Pass. Mrs. David Brainerd and the children will remain for a month. Portland Wedding Of Interest To Valley Residents Central Point - Of interest to valley residents is the wed ding of Miss Janet Frances Ayres, and James C. Valen tine, Portland, which took place in Portland June 23. The bride Is a daughter of Mr. and Mra. Francis C. Ayres, 45 North Ninth street, Central Point, and Mr. Valentine is a son of Mrs. Henry Valentine, Route 3, box IBBA, Medford, and Mr. Valentine, l.ongvlew. Wash. The Rev. John Palmer offic iated at the one o'clock rites held in the Holy Redeemer Catholic church. The bride wore a lavender linen suit with white veiled hat for the wedding. Her cor sage was of white carnations and lavender ribbon. Miss Diane Newsom, Sams Valley, was the bride's only attendant. Michael Duggan, Sams Valley, was best man. A small reception was given by Mr. and Mrs. Peter Tighe, Mllwaukie, following the cere mony. The bride was graduated from Crater High school. The bridegroom is a graduate of St. Mary's High school, and is employed as an apprentice carpel layer in Portland, where the couple are making their home. Brothers Visit Derby - Harvey and Steve Deen, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Deen,.Bulle Falls high way, Eagle Point, left last week to vacation In southern Idaho. The double ring ceremony took place at 8 o'clock in the evening before 1,10 guests. The church was decorated with baskets of white gladioli and streamers of Ivy, which banked the altar and were placed In the church foyer. Mr. Sinclair sang, accom panied on the organ by Mrs. Sinclair. The bride wore a ballerina length gown of lace, net. and chiffon, desicned with a hustle effect in the hack. Her elbow length veil was held by a seen pearl tiara, and .she carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds with slephanotis. Mr. Babcock gave his daughter in marriage. Mrs. Mclvin Gingerlch at tended her twin sister. Her frock was of pink nylon chif fon in ballerina length, de signed with bouffant skirt. She wore a pink headdress and veil, and carried while carnations. Shirley Lee Mitchell, a neice of the bride, was flow er girl, and Ronnie Pearson, Talent, a nephew of the bride groom, was ring hearer. Kldon Fagnn, Ashland, serv ed as hest man. Seating the guests were Thomas Rashe. a brother of the bridegroom, and Richard Walker, Central Point. Following the wedding cere mony, the parents of the bride gave a reception at their home. For Ihe wedding and re ception the bride's mother wore a while sheath dress with turquoise assessnries. Her corsnge was pink carna tions. The bridegroom's moth er chose a blue frock with while accessories, and a white carnation corsage. Mrs. Merlin Fink. Under wood, Wash., a cousin of the bride, cut and served the wed ding cake. Mrs. Strawn is the former Rachel Iris Lopez, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill D. Phares, Salem. The bride groom is a ton of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sirawn, 3253 Cottonwood avenue. The Rev. K. L. Mathewson performed the ceremony at 8 o'clock In the evening. About 125 guests witnessed the double ring riles. Baskets of pink and white gladioli decorated the church, and the organ wedding music was provided by Miss Mari lyn Shepard. Mrs. Rex Coble was soloist. The bride was given In marriage by Mr. Phares. She chose a ballerina tcnglh gown made of Alencon lace and silk organza over taffeta. It was fashioned with fitted hodice, scoop neckline, and three-quarter length sleeves of lace. A shirred cummer bund and front how accented the waistline. Her shoulder length veil of hand-rolled silk Illusion was held by a cap of lilies of the valley and a single silk organza rose. Her bridal bouquet was of white carnations. Mrs. Kenneth Breazeale was matron of honor. She wore a frock of pink brocade bridegroom; Mrs. Annie Han son, Smith River, Calif, a cousin of Ihe bride; Mrs. Don ald Hanson, Brookings, Calif., and Mr. Fink, Underwood, Wash. float veil. Her bouquet was pink and white gladioli. Lisa Saaranen was flower girl. She wore a pink ani white dress and carried basket of pink roses. Mr. Breazeale performed best man duties, and the guests were seated by Charles L. Lopez, Fort Campbell, Ky., a brother of the bride, and Delbert L. Johnson. Mr. Lo pez and Mr. Johnson also lighted the candles. A reception followed the ceremony in the church rooms. For her daughter's re ception Mrs. Phares chose a light brown silk dress and yellow accessories. Mrs. Strawn wore a black linen suit with while accessories. Both mothers wore white carnation corsages. Mrs. Oliver Cummings, an aunt of the bridegroom, jnd Mrs. James Hudson, a cousin of the bridegroom, cut the wedding cake at the recep tion. Miss Alice Nickolson poured the punch and was also in charge of the guest book. Mrs. James Myrick, an aunt of the bride, served cof fee. Mrs. James Strawn, aunt of the bridegroom, and Miss Earlene Wilburn were at the gift table. Others assisting with the reception were Mrs Wendell Coble, Mrs. Rex Go ble, and Mrs. Bill Rowe. For the wedding trip, the bride wore a linen sheath frock in a light orange shade. The bride attended North Salem High school, and the bridegroom attended Medford High school. Receiving six-piece place settings in their sterling pat terns were Miss Wyllajo Mills, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Mills, 8248 Alta avenue, and Mrs. John Albert (Bonnie Jean) Hartrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester N. Hen son, 818 Cherry street. Miss Mills, a graduate of Medford High school, selected "Dimension" by Reed and Barton as her silver at Bro phy's Jewelers. She returned July 18 from a trip to Lin coln, Neb., where she visited her grandmother, Mrs. Ema wylie Davenport, and an aunt, Mrs. Mayde Lucas. Mrs. Davenport visited In the val ley earlier this year and at tended her granddaughter's graduation. Miss Mills then accompanied her grandmoth er to Nebraska June 29. Mrs. Hartrick is now visit ing her husband, an electron ics technician in the U.S. Navy In Alameda, Calif. He is serving aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea which recently returned to San Francisco from the Far East. Also a Medford High school graduate, Mrs. Hartrick se lected "Wishing Star" by Wal lace at Lawrence's for her silver. Mr. and Mrs. Hartrick are expected to visit in the Rogue valley July 28 for nine days prior to his return to his ship. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Hartrick, Phoe nix.
