The marriage ceremony was held June 18 at Ascen sion Lutheran church at eight o'clock in the evening with the Rev. Elvln S. Tollefson officiating. Baskets of pink and white gladioli, snapdrag ons and carnations decorated Central Point Couple Wed At Parsonage Central Point - An event of Saturday, June 9 was the wedding of Miss Judith Ann Patterson to James Richard Allen. The bride is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Pat terson and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Allen, both of Central Point. The ceremony was read by the Rev. Clynton Crisman at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in the parsonage of the Friends Church of Medford. Harold Allen, cousin of the bride groom, was best man and Janice Ayres of Central Point was the honor attendant. Only the immediate families of the bride and groom were present at the ceremony. Following the wedding a reception was held for the friends of the couple at the Don Patterson residence. Miss Vervia Beman cut the wed ding cake. Miss Diane Wood ward served punch, and Miss Sandra Beasly poured coltee Miss Rcna Offutt had charge of the guest book. The wedding cake was made by the bridegroom's aunt, Mrs. Vernon Allen. The flowers for the wedding and reception were arranged by Mrs. Steven Benston. Mrs Kenneth Hulbert, assisted by Mrs. Robert Webb, took charge of the reception. The bride attended Crater High school and the bride groom is a student at South cm Oregon college. The cou ple are now at home at 49 Cedar street in Central Point. Group Attends Haith-Doty Rites A number of Medford per sons were In North Bend, Ore., June 10 for the marriage of Miss Carole Anne Doty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. lrvin Doty of Coos Bay, and Gilbert W. Haith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Haith of Corvallis. The ceremony took place at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in the First Christian church. The bride is a graduate of Marshfield High school and was graduated this month from the Oregon State univer sity. The bridegroom was graduated from Corvallis High school and also from OSU this spring. He attended Purdue university his fresh man year. They made their wedding trip to the Oregon coast and to Virginia. From Medford were Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Montcith and Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Doty, maternal and paternal grand parents of the hrlde; Mr. and Mrs. Shirrell Doty and son, Thomas, aunt and uncle of the bride, and Fred Daugh erty. The service was attended by 125 relatives and friends. The bride wore a gown of white Chantilly lace and ny lon organza fashioned with lace yoke, long sleeves, scoop ed neckline and flared skirt. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and red rose buds on a white Bible. Mr. Larson gave his daughter in marriage. Miss Barbara Lees was maid of honor and Miss Sandra Owen was bridesmaid. They wore white eyelet ba tiste frocks with short white veils and white gloves. Miss Lee's accessories were dark pink and Miss Owen's light pink. Dennis Strauss served as best man and seating the guests were William Williams and Frank Sprinkle. The Misses Pamela Jones and Christine Hclman sang duets, and Mrs. Lloyd Tyson was at the organ. For her daughter s wedding and reception which followed Mrs. Broomfleld chose a pink silk dress with pink acces sories, and Mrs. Clark wore green dress with matcning accessories. Their corsages were pink rosebuds. Miss Patricia Larson and Miss Gertrude Bostwick cut and served the wedding cake nd Miss Cheryl Wainscott and Miss Karen Stclle pre sided at the punch bowls. Miss Karen Mayfield was in charge of the guest book. In Medford for the wed ding were Mr. and Mis. Ar thur Bostwick and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Larson. For traveling to San Fran cisco the bride wore a white and navy suit with white ac cessories. The bride is a grad uate of Medford High school and is emplyed by the U S National bank, Medford branch. Mr. Clark also at tended Medford High school and is employed by Fir Ply corporation. Prior to the wedding the bride-elect was honored at two showers. I f; i 1' ' 1 C . e River Bank Setting For W 'Ming Rites Eagle Point - An afternoon ceremony held in a natural setting on the banks of the Rogue River near Eagle Point wedded Miss Linda Luce and Dean Weitman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Weitman, Shady Cove. The bride is a daughter of Dr. James C. Luce, Eagle Point, and the rites took place at his home. Mrs. T. C. Colt man, Clearlake Highlands, Calif., is the bride's mother. Dr. George G. Roseberry of the Medford First Methodist church officiated at the four o'clock ceremony held June 16. It was attended by 110 relatives and friends. Mrs. Gerald Sherman played the organ wedding music for the double ring rites. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full length gown of bouquet taf feta fashioned with Basque bodice, long sleeves and scooped neckline. The bodice was trimmed with scattered pearl clusters and the skirt was caught in back by a shirred peplum bustle and two taffeta roses. Her elbow length veil of hand rolled silk illusion was held by a cap of reembroidered Alencon lace embroidered with pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids and lily of the valley. Attends Bride Mrs. Keith Paschke, Can yonville, attended the bride. She wore a ballerina length frock of pale aquamarine with lace bodice and silk organza skirt. It was fashioned with empire waistline and the sash was caught in back by match ing roses. She carried a nose gay of pink carnations and white marguerites. Kenneth Weitman, Shady Cove, served as best man for his brother. Seating the guests were Gene Cronin, David El rod, Ray Powers and Stephen and David Luce, Petaluma, cousins of the bride. The newlyweds returned to Medford June 23 following a wedding trip to Seattle. For traveling the bride wore a blue suit with white acces sories and the orchids from her bridal bouquet. Is Secretary The bride attended Clear lake Highlands, Calif., High school, Oakland Junior col lege, and Southern Oregon college. She is a secretary in the radiology department at Rogue Valley hospital. Mr. Weitman attended Eagle Point High school. Southern Oregon college and is a student at Oregon Technical Institute. This summer he is employed by Steve Wilson. Following the reception a buffet supper was served by Dr. and Mrs. Luce for mem bers of the family and out of town guests. About 40 per sons attended. Conger were mar ried June 14 in an 8 o'clock evening candlelight ceremony read by the Rev. H. C. Coo vert in Zion Lutheran church. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bellinger, 1630 Rogue River highway, Grants Pass, and the bride groom's parents are Mr. and and Mrs. Homer Conger, Scenic avenue, Central Point. The couple chose the date because it was the 46th wed ding anniversary of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Wallace of Cen tral Point, and the date on which the bride's mother and father, the late Sylvester Larson, had been married. About 110 persons attended the ceremony. The bride's stepfather gave her in marriage. Miss Sue Chittock, Med ford, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Dar lene Olson and Miss Connie Vilarino, both cousins of the bride. Jeanette Bellinger, Grants Pass, a sister of the bride, was flower girl and Steven Phillips was ring bearer. John Martin served as best man and seating the guests were Jerome Larson, a broth er of the bride, Ross Conger, a brother of the bridegroom, and Larry Hulse and Phillip Stevens. The bride's gown was Chantilly type lace over taf feta fashioned with a Basque bodice and a Sabrina neck line embroidered with pearls and sequins. The bouffant skirt was styled with a wide band of tulle inserted in a Presbyterian Church Scene Of Ceremony The First Presbyterian church here was the scene June 17 of the wedding of Miss Aleatha Marie Cowan and Robert Charles Mount. The ceremony was performed at 3 o'clock in the afternoon by Dr. D. K. West, minister of the church. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barton Cow an, 325 North Oakdale avenue, and me Dridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Mount, 915 Murray street. Mr. Cowan escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. Mrs. Jay C. Stough was matron of honor and Mr. Stough was best man. Michele Ann Cowan, a sis ter of the bride, was flower girl. The bride wore a white nylon street length dress with bodice trimmed with eyelet embroidery. She carried a bouquet of red and white car nations. The bride's parents enter tained at a bridal dinner serv ed at the Tower Broiler res taurant. The wedding cake also was served. The bride is a Medford High school graduate and is employ ed at the Central Point clean ers. Appliques of lace centered with pearls and sequins trimmed the tulle band, and the back of the skirt was designed with a chapel train defined with a tiered V-shaped insert of lace and tulle in alternating bands. Her fingertip veil of hand- rolled silk illusion was held by a crown of matching lace and pearls. She carried a bou quet of white orchids and stephanotis on a white Bible given to her by the bride groom. Her gold locket was also a gift from the bride groom. She also wore an heir loom pin which had been worn by her grandmother on her wedding day; and her mother's confirmation ring. The attendants wore identi cal ballerina length frocks of silk organza in aquamarine with cummerbunds and tiered back panels of a deeper shade. Their matching head pieces were single roses with float veils. Their bouquets were of white gladiolus, and their drop pearl necklaces were gifts of the bride. The flower girls also wore matching dresses which had been made by the aunt of the bride, Mrs. Leonard Olson. The church was decorated with baskets of white gladi olus for the double ring cere mony. Mrs. Paul Evensen played the organ music and Miss Catherine Watson sang. For the wedding and re ception the bride's mother wore a beige silk organza dress trimmed with Schiffli embroidery, and matching ac cessories. The bridegrooms mother was dressed in a pure silk sheath frock with floral print and her accessories were in yellow. Both had white orchid corsages. Reception Given Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ol sori, aunt and uncle of the bride, served as hosts for the reception held in the church rooms. Mrs. Clifford Strand, Elbow Lake, Minn., and Mrs. Leo Vilarino, aunts of the bride, poured coffee and Miss Joan Skov poured the punch. Mrs. Betty Hooper. San Ma teo, an aunt of the bride groom, and Mrs. Rex Hopper, Brisbane, Calif., a sister of the bridegroom, cut and serv ed the wedding cake. Miss Sue Crofoot, Seattle, Wash., iwss nacnei Hamilton, Mrs Laural Jones. Anderson Calif., and Miss Alice Thomp son had charge of the gifts. Registering the guests was Miss Jan Gassaway. The couple made their wed ding trip to the Oregon coast and Portland. For traveling the bride wore a yellow linen suit. They are living at 1206 iNiantic street. The bride attended Crater High school and is eirmloved at Pick's Apparel shop. The bridegroom, who also attend ed Crater High school, is em ployed at the Club Barber shop. The bride formerly liv ed in Minnesota while the bridegroom is a native Ore gonian.
