Lindbloom, Roseburg, recent ly announced the engagement of their daughter, Carol Jean Lindbloom, to William Thom as Hamlin, son oj Mr. and Mrs. Warren B. Hamlin, 2309 Hillcrest road. The bride-elect is a gradu ate of Roseburg High school nnd Oregon State university where she is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. The news was first made known at the chapter house during a tra ditional "cookie shine." Mr. Hamlin was graduated from Medford High school where he was on the football, basketball and golf teams. He is attending Oregon State university and will be gradu ated in August. Later he is to be commissioned an en sign in the Naval Reserve Officer Candidate school and is to report for duty at New port, R.I. The wedding is set for late summer in Roseburg. Mother Visits Mrs. Mary Hobbs, Orange, Calif., arrived last Monday to visit for about a month with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Main Phone Ingle-Hennebeck Ceremony Held Miss Mary Ruth Hennebeck and Angel I. Ingle were married Saturday, June 16, in a 10 o'clock morning cere mony held in Sacred Heart Catholic church. The Rev. John Ilg celebrated the nuptial mass and read the double-ring ceremony. About 100 guests attended. The bride is a da"ghter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Hen nebeck, 1317 Siskiyou boule vard, Medford, and the bride groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Ingle, 1978 Table Rock road. Miss Rita Oupray was the maid of honor and brides maids were the Misses Dyanne Jackson and Vickie Burwash. Flower girls were Robin Alcsko and Cathy Boardinan. Paul Smith was best man and ushers were Clyde Fjarli and Clarence Allen. The bride, who was escort ed to the altar by her father, wore a gown of Chantilly type lace over taffeta designed with basque bodice and Sa brina neckline embroidered with pearls and sequins. The overskirt of silk organza was edged with a wide band of scalloped lace and was caught up in front and back by lace roses; the roses were repeat ed on the sides of the skirt. Her fingertip illusion veil was held from a princess crown of matching lace with pearls. She carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds and steph anotis. The attendants wore simi lar ballerina length dresses, Miss Dupray's being pastel pink while the others were powder blue. The cummer bunds and tiered back panels were of deeper shades of the same colors, Their matching hats were designed in the form of flower crowns which they wore with bouffant veils. They carried bouquets of daisies. The flower girls wore matching pink taffeta dresses with pink Voile overskirts and they carried baskets of cascaded daisies. The church was decorated with pink gladiolus. Donald McPherson and Miss Patricia Meeker sang the wedding Creslan double knit stripe Skimmer with contrast sash, and pleated skirt attached to shorts. 772-8992 songs and Miss Marilyn Gul dan was organist. The bride's mother wore a beige silk sheath dress with turquoise accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a blue lace dress with white accessories. Both had cymbi dium orchid corsages. About 65 persons attended the reception which was held in the Girls Community club. Pink gladiolus decorated the rooms. Cutting the wedding cake were Mrs. Merle Johnson and Mrs. Gerry Hennebeck, aunts of the Dride. Pouring coffee was Mrs. Ray Welter, aunt of the bride and serving the punch were Mrs. Thomas Oaks and Miss Joy Ingle, sis ters of the bridegroom. Mrs. Steven Rainwater had charge of registering the guests and assisting with the gifts were Mrs. Ronald Adams and Miss Barbara Hennebeck. The couple made their wedding trip to San Francisco and will live at 1977 Table Rock road. For traveling the bride wore a two-piece tur quoise dress with matching coat and white accessories. The bride aitcnded St. Mary's High school and is cm ployed as a bookkeeper at Barco Supply company. The ormegroom is a salesman at Weisfield's Jewelry store. He attended Medford High school. Bride-Elect Is Honored Miss Theresa Elzea, bride- elect of Harold Friend, has been honored at several bridal showers recently. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer F. Elzea, 302 Van couver avenue, and her fiance's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Friend, 252 Do Barr avenue. Their wedding is set for June 29 in the First Presbyterian church. ' On May 31 a potluck din ner and surprise shower hon ored Miss Elzea when Mrs. Douglas H. Hinesly and her daughter, Mrs. Allan Higin botham were hostess in the Hinesly home at 1032 Murray street. Twenty-one guests at tended, all employees of the J. C. Penney company. Game prizes were won by Mrs. Ida Hohenstein and Mrs. Clifton Friend. Mrs. Robert Miller was hostess for a shower on June 1 in her home at 829 East Ninth street. A sister of the bride, Miss Eileen Elzea. as sisted the hostess. Sixteen guests attended and prizes were won by Miss Phyliss El zea, another sister of the bride-elect, and Mrs. Ann Johnson. On June 13, Miss Elzea again was an honored guesi when Mrs. Roy Hewitt and daughter, Miss Rosalie He witt, entertained at their home at 295 DcBarr avenue. The bride, whose home was at 3101 Southwest Thirteenth street, Portland, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Schultz of Bend, Ore., and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Raymond John son, 21 North Berkeley way, Medford. Miss Evalyn Pleyer Betrothal News Is Made Known Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Evalyn Pleyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Pleyer, 2911 Table Rock road, Medford, and Duane Leroy Cole, son of the Rev. and Mrs. W. R. Cole of Salem, Ore. The bride-elect a 1 1 e n d ed Medford High school for two years and this spring was graduated from the Central Pilgrim academy at Bartlcs ville, Okla. She is employed at Harry and David Bear Creek orchards. Her fiance was graduated in 1959 from North Salem High school and is a student in the Junior college at Cen tral Pilgrim college in Bart lesville. The wedding date is set for September 14. Her chapel length gown was de signed with a lace bodice and the taffeta hell skirt was fashioned with side panels of imported Chantilly lace. The bridal bouquet was of gar denias and slephanotis. The attendants wore pur ple linen sheath dresses with peplum overskirts and car ried bouquets of lavender car nations. Arrangements of while flowers decorated the church. The processional, "Trum pet Tune," and recessional, "Trumpet Voluntary," both by Ihe English composer Hen ry Ptircell, were used for the wedding music. The reception, given by the bride's parenls, was held in the church parish hall. The couple made their wed ding trip lo the Oregon coast and will live at 14975 South west Sunrise lane, Tigard. The bride is employed by the Washington county school district as a teacher at the Cedar Mill elementary schools. She attended Oregon Stale university. The bridegroom, who al- tenried the University of Ore gon Medical school, is a phy sician and surgeon at the Tigard Medical clinic. The bridegroom's parents were hosts for a dinner after the wedding rehearsal June 15 in the bridegroom's home at Tigard. Family To Join Airman in Manila Prospect - Mrs. Waldo H. Copley and sons, Tim and Mark, plan to leave July 7 from Travis Air Force hase, Calif., to join Airman First Class Conley who is sla'.ioned in the Philippines with the Air Force. Airman Copley recently was transferred from Harlin gen Air Force base In Texas. He is a technician in the pre cision maintenance and equip ment laboralory. His tour of duty in the Philippines is for two years. While awaiting for travel- ing arrangement to ne com pldM Mr.. Copley and son, have been visiting her par ents. Mr. ann mrs. moi Freed. Prospect, and his par ents. Mr. and Mrs A. R Cop- lev Eagle Point. They will have brief stopovers in Ha waii, Guam and possibly Mid way before arriving in Ma nila. 1. Harriet Lynn Witt Wed To Glen Franklin Kaye Miss Harriet Lynn Witt and Glen Franklin Kaye were married in a 4 o'clock after noon ceremony read June 17 in Ihe Church of the Brethren. The Rev. William Wash per formed the double ring cere mony in the presence of about 200 -gucsls. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Will, 41 North Orange street, and Ihe bridegroom's- parents are Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Kaye, 101 1 Ml. Pill avenue. Miss Barbara Darby was maid of honor and brides maids were Miss Carol Burns, and Miss Glenda Kaye, twin sister of the bridegroom. Willard Harwood served as best man. Sealing the guests were Michael Will and Bruce Kaye. Mr. Witt gave his- daughter in marriage. The maid of honor wore a pink brocaded silk shealh dress. The bridesmaids wore matching drcsseo. Miss Burns in yellow and Miss Kaye in blue. Their head bands also matched their dresses and all the attendants carried bou quets of Ester Reed daisies which had been dyed to match the colors of their gowns. Candle lighters were Ihe Misses Sarah Ivcrson and Se rena Whitehead. Miss lverson wore a pink and white print frock and Miss Whitehead was dressed in yellow tulle. For her daughter's wctt. ding Mrs. Will wore a pink organza dress over taffeta with a matching pink hat. Her corsage was a cream colored orchid. Miss Linda Loyce cut the rake and Mrs. Katherine Crawford and Mrs. Florence Monroe served the coffee and punch.
