Central Point - An event of
Saturday, June 9 was the
wedding of Miss Judith Ann
Patterson to James Richard
Allen. The bride is the daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Pat
terson and the bridegroom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Allen, both of Central
Point.
The ceremony was read by
the Rev. Clynton Crisman at
2 o'clock in the afternoon in
the parsonage of the Friends
Church of Medford. Harold
Allen, cousin of the bride
groom, was best man and
Janice Ayres of Central Point
was the honor attendant. Only
the immediate families of the
bride and groom were present
at the ceremony.
Following the wedding a
reception was held for the
friends of the couple at the
Don Patterson residence. Miss
Vervia Beman cut the wed
ding cake. Miss Diane Wood
ward served punch, and Miss
Sandra Beasly poured coltee
Miss Rcna Offutt had charge
of the guest book.
The wedding cake was
made by the bridegroom's
aunt, Mrs. Vernon Allen. The
flowers for the wedding and
reception were arranged by
Mrs. Steven Benston. Mrs
Kenneth Hulbert, assisted by
Mrs. Robert Webb, took
charge of the reception.
The bride attended Crater
High school and the bride
groom is a student at South
cm Oregon college. The cou
ple are now at home at 49
Cedar street in Central Point.

Haith-Doty Rites

Ore., June 10 for the marriage
of Miss Carole Anne Doty,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
lrvin Doty of Coos Bay, and
Gilbert W. Haith, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Marvin Haith of
Corvallis.
The ceremony took place
at 2 o'clock in the afternoon
in the First Christian church.
The bride is a graduate of
Marshfield High school and
was graduated this month
from the Oregon State univer
sity. The bridegroom was
graduated from Corvallis
High school and also from
OSU this spring. He attended
Purdue university his fresh
man year.
They made their wedding
trip to the Oregon coast and
to Virginia.

sert-bridge parties at the Red
Cross building. They are set
for Thursday and Friday
afternoons, June 28 and 29,
from 1 o'clock until 5 o'clock.
"This is our last fund-raising
effort to meet our fi
nancial balance of need for
this fiscal year," stated Mrs.
Frank Preston, volunteer

Eagle Point - An afternoon
ceremony held in a natural
setting on the banks of the
Rogue River near Eagle Point
wedded Miss Linda Luce and
Dean Weitman, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Gene Weitman, Shady
Cove. The bride is a daughter
of Dr. James C. Luce, Eagle
Point, and the rites took place
at his home. Mrs. T. C. Colt
man, Clearlake Highlands,
Calif., is the bride's mother.
Dr. George G. Roseberry of
the Medford First Methodist
church officiated at the four
o'clock ceremony held June
16. It was attended by 110
relatives and friends.
Mrs. Gerald Sherman played
the organ wedding music for
the double ring rites.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a full
length gown of bouquet taf
feta fashioned with Basque
bodice, long sleeves and
scooped neckline. The bodice
was trimmed with scattered
pearl clusters and the skirt
was caught in back by a
shirred peplum bustle and two
taffeta roses. Her elbow
length veil of hand rolled silk
illusion was held by a cap of
reembroidered Alencon lace
embroidered with pearls. She
carried a cascade bouquet of
white phalaenopsis orchids
and lily of the valley.

yonville, attended the bride.
She wore a ballerina length
frock of pale aquamarine with
lace bodice and silk organza
skirt. It was fashioned with
empire waistline and the sash
was caught in back by match
ing roses. She carried a nose
gay of pink carnations and
white marguerites.

Cove, served as best man for
his brother. Seating the guests
were Gene Cronin, David El
rod, Ray Powers and Stephen
and David Luce, Petaluma,
cousins of the bride.

college. She is a secretary in
the radiology department at
Rogue Valley hospital. Mr.
Weitman attended Eagle Point
High school. Southern Oregon
college and is a student at
Oregon Technical Institute.
This summer he is employed
by Steve Wilson.
Following the reception a
buffet supper was served by
Dr. and Mrs. Luce for mem
bers of the family and out of
town guests. About 40 per
sons attended.

The couple chose the date
because it was the 46th wed
ding anniversary of the
bride's grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Morris Wallace of Cen
tral Point, and the date on
which the bride's mother and
father, the late Sylvester
Larson, had been married.
About 110 persons attended
the ceremony.
The bride's stepfather gave
her in marriage.

sequins trimmed the tulle
band, and the back of the
skirt was designed with a
chapel train defined with a
tiered V-shaped insert of lace
and tulle in alternating bands.
Her fingertip veil of hand-
rolled silk illusion was held
by a crown of matching lace
and pearls. She carried a bou
quet of white orchids and
stephanotis on a white Bible
given to her by the bride
groom. Her gold locket was
also a gift from the bride
groom. She also wore an heir
loom pin which had been
worn by her grandmother on
her wedding day; and her
mother's confirmation ring.
The attendants wore identi
cal ballerina length frocks of
silk organza in aquamarine
with cummerbunds and tiered
back panels of a deeper
shade. Their matching head
pieces were single roses with
float veils. Their bouquets
were of white gladiolus, and
their drop pearl necklaces
were gifts of the bride.
The flower girls also wore
matching dresses which had
been made by the aunt of the
bride, Mrs. Leonard Olson.
The church was decorated
with baskets of white gladi
olus for the double ring cere
mony. Mrs. Paul Evensen played
the organ music and Miss
Catherine Watson sang.
For the wedding and re
ception the bride's mother
wore a beige silk organza
dress trimmed with Schiffli
embroidery, and matching ac
cessories. The bridegrooms
mother was dressed in a pure
silk sheath frock with floral
print and her accessories were
in yellow. Both had white
orchid corsages.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ol
sori, aunt and uncle of the
bride, served as hosts for the
reception held in the church
rooms. Mrs. Clifford Strand,
Elbow Lake, Minn., and Mrs.
Leo Vilarino, aunts of the
bride, poured coffee and Miss
Joan Skov poured the punch.

teo, an aunt of the bride
groom, and Mrs. Rex Hopper,
Brisbane, Calif., a sister of
the bridegroom, cut and serv
