Issued - The Med ford building department is sued permits Thursday to Fred Stevens to erect a garage at 605 North Columbus ave. at an estimated cost of $1,500; to R. J. Crossman to erect a partition in a commercial building at 33 North Central ave. at an approximate cost of $1,000; and to George Heide to erect a residence at 517 Mae st. at an anticipated cost of $10,000. Story Corrected - An auto driven by Clinton Dean Vro man, RFD 4, Box 438, Med ford, was struck by the open ing door of a parked vehicle in a 6:18 p.m. accident in front of 5 South Riverside ave., Medford, last Wednes day. The owner of the parked car, Virgil Lee TibbetU, 319 Ashland st., Medford, opened the left front door of his car, causing it to strike Vroman's vehicle just as it was passing by. An earlier account of the incident reported that Vro man's auto had struck the parked car. Tired of the rash of robberies suffered by merchants at night, Mau obtained the large blade for his own protection. Police found blood stains in a stolen getaway car and Mau said he was certain he nicked a man with his weapon, (UPI) Politicians Campaign Salem - (UPD - The commit tee that worked for the suc cessful nomination of Repub lican Sig Unander, Portland, for the U.S. Senate spent $29,- 321, the State Election Divi sion said Friday. The primary election cam paign expense report filed here said that expenses equal ed contributions. Another report filed in the campaign that renominated Sen. Wayne Morse (D-Ore.) put total contributions of the Morse campaign at $30,367, But the report indicated only $18,843 was spent, as report ed earlier. The new total came with the filing of a $10,000 contribution to Morse from the Oregon AFL-CIO's com mittee on Political Education (COPE), although COPE indi cated it got the money from the national AFL-CIO. Biggest single contributor in the Morse effort other thBn COPE was a labor-sponsored testimonial dinner in Port land. The December, 1961, dinner brought in $7,944. Nicholas Reisini, New York, and Alex Deutsch, Los An geles, both gave $1,000 to Morse. Single biggest contributor in the Unander campaign was John C. Higgins of Portland, $2,000. View cemetery. Name Local Student President of Club Jeremy R. Randolph, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Randolph, 120 Ashland ave., Medford, was elected president of the International Relations club at the University of Santa Clara, Santa Clara, Calif., for the second year recently. Purpose ot the club is to contribute to the intellectual life of the campus by pro viding an integrated view of world affairs. He Is a I960 graduate of St. Mary's high school, Medford. Bids Opened for Nurses' Housing Bids were opened last week for construction of nurses' housing units at Rogue Valley hospital. Plana prepared by Medford Architects Edson and Pappas call for construction of three structures of one three-plex unit and two four-plex units. Four bachelorette units hav ing living room, kitchenette and bath will be provided. There will be six one-bedroom units with living room, bath and kitchen, and one two-bedroom unit. Total building area will be about 6,000 square feet and an equivalent area will be pro vided in carports and In patios surrounded by redwood screen panels. She was a member of the Jacksonville Presbyterian church and in 1934 was awarded an honorary life membership in ihe Presbyte rian Foreign Mission Board. She also was active in histori cal societies in this area. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a foster daughter, Mrs. Anita Dang, San Francisco.
