The study topic will be "Using Accessories in the Ho,e." One unit is planning a fashion show and luncheon. Evans Valley The fashion show and lun cheon planned by the Evans Valley unit will begin at 12 noon, on Thursday, May 10 in the Wimer Grange hall. A nominal charge will be mode for both events and children under six years old will be admitted without charge. All persons interested are invited to attend. Shrcc's Clothing store of Rogue River will fur nish fashions. Howard I Installation of officers will be conducted at the meeting of Howard unit in the home 'f Mrs. Ernest Glcason, 2884 Crater Lake highway Thurs day, May 10. The session will begin at 10:30 a.m. Child care will be pwvidod at the home of Mrs. Ralph Peyton, 2B34 Biddle road. Valley Rogue Mrs. Glen Allen, district chairman, will be the install ing officer for installations during the meeting of the Valley Rogue unit Monday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m., in the home of Mrs. David Dodtjc. 224 Oak Grove road. Mrs. W. H. Howell and Mrs. David Dodge will be project lenders. Mrs. Thomas Spati. Central Point, (at left) and Mrs. Orville Reichenberg, Medford, both registered nurses, are helping to arrange the course for expectant parents which the Jackson County chapter, American Red Cross, will be gin this week. Mrs. Reichenberg will be one of the instruc tors. The class will begin Monday, May 7; anyone inter ested may call the chapter house, SPring 2-4405. Red Cross Plans Class For Expectant Parents A Red Cross mother and baby care course will slurl this week at the Rogue Val ley hospital for expectant par ents, grandmothers and any adult who may be responsible for a very young child. The course will be held for three weeks with two classes a week. One session will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays I from 7:30 to 9.30 p.m. and the other on Tuesdnys and Thurs days at the same hour. First class of each session will be held Monday and Tuesday, May 7 and 8. The two sessions will be identical and persons may select which nights are more convenient for them. Classes will be limited as to the number of students, and more will be scheduled if the need arises. There is no charge for the course and speakers will be Mrs. Orville (Natalia) Rcichcn bcrg. RN, and Mrs. Robert (Alberta) Fry, RN. They have received instruction to teach these classes by Miss Pat Joyce, San Francisco, nursing service instructor trainer from the Pacific area office. Medford Parents Unit 1 The Medford unit will meet at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, M:f 8 at the home of Mrs. Lee Johnson, 3436 Hanlcy road, Medford. Mrs. L. H. McCon ncl and Mrs. B. Simmons will give the lesson. A special I guest will be Miss Brigittc ! Moscr, a foreign exchange I student from Austria attend I ing Crater High school, who will speak. e Lake Creek Mrs. W. W. Jackson will install the officers of the Lake Creek unit at that group's final meeting for the season, Wednesday, May 9, at 10:30 a.m. Mrs. W i 1 1 a r d Walch, Brownsboro, will be hostess i in her home, Mrs. Carl Vick- oren and Mrs. Mark Hoefft will be in charge of the les son. Information concerning the day's menu can be obtain ed by calling Mrs. Henry Meyer. Table service is re quired. Mrs. Leland M. Charley, chairman, attended the slate council meeting held in Cor vallis last week. A kaffec klatch recently was held to raise funds for the Cancer crusade. An invitation is extended lo all women of the area who are interested. Butte Falls Mrs. Duanc Burton will be installed chairman of the Butte Falls unit when they meet Thursday, May 10. Mrs. Virgil Conlcy will be install ed vice chairman; Mrs. Keith Scott, secretary, and Mrs. Shirley Hatcher, treasurer. The meeting will be held in the home of Mrs. Curt Thom son, 12 miles northeast of Butte Falls on Prospect road. A potluck luncheon will be served. Leaders will be Mrs. Robert Daniels and Mrs. Duune Burton. Phoenix Unit During installations at the Phoenix unit meeting Thurs day, May 10 at 10 a.m., in the Phoenix Presbyterian church, Mrs. Curtis Stockstill will be installed chairman; Mrs. E. E. Reese Creek ( Mrs. David Kahl, county committee member, will in stall officers for the Reese Creek unit when members meet Thursday, May 10 at 10:30 a.m., in the home of Mrs. D. C. Evans on Crater Lake highway. Mrs. Willis Morris and Mrs. Roy Loper are project chairmen, and the luncheon hostesses will be Mrs. Phillip Nevin, Mrs. W. E. Hammel and Mrs. Joseph Whipple. Child care will be available for a nominal fee and lunch eon will be served for a small charge. Members have been remind ed by officers that the Home Extension Spring festival and luncheon will be held this year on Monday, May 14, in the Mon Dcsir Dining inn, Central Point. Mrs. Martinson and Mrs. Kenneth Dufour were project leaders at the previous meet ing of the group held in the home of Mrs. Nevin. Lunch eon hostesses were Mrs. D. T. Stephenson and Mrs. Merle McGraw. A special guest was Miss Joan Bcasley, county agent, and also visiting was Mrs. Marshall Caster. Medford Unit A planned luncheon will be served at a meeting of the Medford unit Wednesday, May 9 in Santo hall, 710 North Columbus avenue. The session will open at 10:30 a.m. Those who have not been contacted regarding luncheon contributions are to take sal ad or dessert. Table service will be required. Mrs. Jessie Wallers will be the project leader. Nitelighters Installation of officers and a report of the recent state council meeting arc on the program for the Nitelighters unit on Tuesday, May 8. Mrs. Ira Fitzgerald will do the in stalling. Mrs. S. S. Snook, 3286 Snowy Butte road, will be the hostess in her home. Mrs. eV. H. Colley and Mrs. V. L. Paftnt will present the lesson. Elected vice chairman was Mrs. Amon Cothrin, secretary, Mrs. John E. Walter, secretary, and Mrs. Roy Terrill, treasurer. The officers will be install ed at this week's meeting of the unit, Thursday, May 10, in the home of Mrs. Burg. Mrs. O. C. Barlow, past chairman, will be the installing officer. Mrs. F. G. Haworth and Mrs. Burg attended the state council meeting at Corvallis May 1 through 3. Oak Grove Unit Mrs. John Acschliman will be installed chairman of the Oak Grove unit Tuesday, May 8 when members will meet in the home of Mrs. V. A. Tur pin, 3027 Old Military road. Miss Joan Bcasley, county agent, will be the installing officer. Mrs. W. H. Ward will be installed vice chairman, Mrs. Gerald Brog, secretary, and Mrs. Leroy Everson, treasur er. Mrs. Robert Wobbce, Mrs. Turpin and Mrs. Aeschliman will report on the state coun cil meeting. Mrs. Brog will be cohostess and the project lesson will be given by Mrs. Ward and Mrs. R. D. Coffin.
