Charlei Gustafson will be initilled president of the Women of Rotary at their meeting Wednesday, May 9, at the home of Mr. Robert Mc Intyre, 2700 Country Club drive. The meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. Otheri to b installed will be Mrs. Philip Gates, vice president; Mrs. Walter Hig gins, secretary, and Mrs. Dav id Lowry, treasurer. Paschke, 363 Neil Creek road, Ashland, In a cer emony held April 28 at the Trinity Episcopal church. The Rev. Duane Alvord of ficiated at the double ring rites held at 8 o'clock in the evenins- Some 175 relatives and friends attended. Baskets of white stock decorated the church and white stock and carnations were at the altar. Miss Edna Daughcrty was j organist and accompanied Miss Kareit Paschke, .soloi.st. i Given in marriage by her I stepfather, the bride wore a I white lace over net gown with pearls accenting the I scalloped neckline. Lace medallions were appliqued on the net skirt. She carried ; a nosegay of white rosebuds and lilies of the valley. Miss Judy Drager, Salem, cousin of the bride, was hon or attendant and bridesmaid was Miss Margaret Briggs, sister of the bride. They wore light blue silk organza frocks over taffeta and blue velvet bows in their hair. They car ried nosegays of white roses and white carnations with blue streamers. Lester Lowman, Castro Valley, Calif., served as best man and seating the guests were Gerald Gould and Ken neth Paschke, Medfnrd. Candlclighters and acolytes were twins, Craig and Doug las Kerby. For her daughter's wed ding and reception which fol lowed in the parish house, Mrs. Parr wore a London blue silk dress with jacket VFW Auxiliary Plans Dance at White City The Astronauts, an orches tra from White City, will fur nish music for a dam e to be sponsored by the auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of Oregon, on Monday, May 7, at 8 p.m. The dance will be held in the White City Domiciliary theater. A bus will provide transportation to the riomicil iary, leaving at 7:3(1 p.m., from Trailways depot. Paschke chose a beige silk dress and jacket with flnwer ered pink and rose hat. Their corsages were pink carna tions. Mrs. Elliott MacCraiken cut and served the wedding cake. Mrs. William Briggs, Portland, aunt of the bride, Mrs. Donald Faber, Central Point, Miss Donal Ann Brace and Miss Cindy Wright pour ed. Mrs. Brae: and Mrs. O. L. Wright were in charge, of the reception. Miss Sue Briggs, Portland, was in chftrge of the guest book. The newlyweds traveled to Minnesota on their wedding trip, the bride wearing a navy blue silk suit for traveling. After June 1 they will make their home at 363 Neil Creek road, Ashland. The bride is a graduate of Ashland High school and Merritt Davis Business col lege in Salem. She was em ployed as a secretary with the State Farm Insurance company in Salem. Mr. Paschke was graduated from Ashland High school and is a rancher. Coffee Is Set For Newcomers A coffee hour to which all newcomers to the vicinity are invited is sc' eduled for Tues day, May 8 from 10 to 11 a.m., in the home of Mrs. Harvey Humphries. 828 Palm drive. The event is sponsored by the We'come Wagon club. During a meeting of the club on May 3 Ar.drew Grif fin spoke on investments. New members at e meet ing were Mrs. William South, Mrs. Arthur Wilson, and Mrs. James Cox. Guests were Mrs. John Jones and Mrs. Richard Scroggins. Next regular meeting of the club will be Thursday, May 17. Returns Ashland - Mrs. E. T. Carl ton of the Carlton motel, Highway 99 south, has re turned from southern Cali fornia where she visited with relatives. Boyer, Medford, attorney, has been selected as Boss of the Year by mem bers of the Rogue River chap ter of the National Secretaries association. During an annual Boss Night party given by the group April 27, Mr. Boy er was presented a Boss of the Year award. Mrs. Kathryn Thomas was selected as the Secretary of the Year and was awarded a trophy during the ceremon ies. The event, a dinner meet ing, was held in the Rogue Valley Country club. Special guests at the dinner were Bruce Yarnell, of the television series, "The Out laws," and Mrs. Yarnell. Mr. Yarnell was marshal of the Pear Blossom Festival parade. Miss Claudia Cave, a stu dent at Robertson's School of Business, also was a guest. She was presented a S50 award to be applied to her schooling. The oriental theme for the evening was accented by Jap anese music during a cocktail hour at which a Japanese maid presided, together with Mrs. Marion Langley at the punch bowl. Entertainment was furnish ed by Miss Then Chang and Librarians Set Installations The final meeting of the season for the Jackson County Association of School Librar ians, when officers will be installed, is set for 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, in Hoover school. The program will include reports of a stale library con vention In April in Pendle ton.
