of white stock decorated the

carnations were at the altar.

with pearls accenting the

on the net skirt. She carried

cousin of the bride, was hon
or attendant and bridesmaid
was Miss Margaret Briggs,
sister of the bride. They wore
light blue silk organza frocks
over taffeta and blue velvet
bows in their hair. They car
ried nosegays of white roses
and white carnations with
blue streamers.

man and seating the guests
were Gerald Gould and Ken
neth Paschke, Medfnrd.

VFW Auxiliary Plans
Dance at White City
The Astronauts, an orches
tra from White City, will fur
nish music for a dam e to be
sponsored by the auxiliary to
Veterans of Foreign Wars,
Department of Oregon, on
Monday, May 7, at 8 p.m.
The dance will be held in
the White City Domiciliary
theater. A bus will provide
transportation to the riomicil
iary, leaving at 7:3(1 p.m.,
from Trailways depot.

The newlyweds traveled to
Minnesota on their wedding
trip, the bride wearing a navy
blue silk suit for traveling.
After June 1 they will make
their home at 363 Neil Creek
road, Ashland.
The bride is a graduate of
Ashland High school and
Merritt Davis Business col
lege in Salem. She was em
ployed as a secretary with
the State Farm Insurance
company in Salem. Mr.
Paschke was graduated from
Ashland High school and is a
rancher.
Coffee Is Set
For Newcomers
A coffee hour to which all
newcomers to the vicinity are
invited is sc' eduled for Tues
day, May 8 from 10 to 11 a.m.,
in the home of Mrs. Harvey
Humphries. 828 Palm drive.
The event is sponsored by the
We'come Wagon club.
During a meeting of the
club on May 3 Ar.drew Grif
fin spoke on investments.

Robert A. Boyer, Medford,
attorney, has been selected as
Boss of the Year by mem
bers of the Rogue River chap
ter of the National Secretaries
association. During an annual
Boss Night party given by
the group April 27, Mr. Boy
er was presented a Boss of
the Year award.
Mrs. Kathryn Thomas was
selected as the Secretary of
the Year and was awarded
a trophy during the ceremon
ies. The event, a dinner meet
ing, was held in the Rogue
Valley Country club.
Special guests at the dinner
were Bruce Yarnell, of the
television series, "The Out
laws," and Mrs. Yarnell. Mr.
Yarnell was marshal of the
Pear Blossom Festival parade.
Miss Claudia Cave, a stu
dent at Robertson's School of
Business, also was a guest.
She was presented a S50
award to be applied to her
schooling.
The oriental theme for the
evening was accented by Jap
anese music during a cocktail
hour at which a Japanese
maid presided, together with
Mrs. Marion Langley at the
punch bowl.

ians, when officers will be
installed, is set for 4 p.m.
