Nixon Flies To West Coast After Kennedy Attacks Columbus, Ohio - VPD -Former Vice President Rich ard M. Nixon flies home to California today from, a na tionwide speaking trip during which he sharply criticized the Kennedy administration. The 1960 Republican presi dential candidate told a cheer ing Republican crowd here Wednesday night that Presi dent Kennedy had talked of challenges from the Commu nists but had failed to call for a single sacrifice. Instead, Nixon said, Ken nedy "has been comforting them by telling them what the government would do for them." Nixon said Kennedy had toned down his drive for his domestic program because the conservative mood of the country made it politically expedient. But, he said, there had been no change in principle on Kennedy's part and if the Democrats made gains in next year's congressional elections, Kennedy would consider it a "green light for going ahead full throttle on programs which would lead to Increas ing spending, higher taxes and more federal control in the lives of every American."
