He was unable to attend the reunion i The prize for traveling the farthest distance to attend the reunion was shared by Mrs. George , Goodrich (La Verne Stephenson) and Don Krous, both from the Los Angeles area. Honors for the "baldest head" went to Jeff Peters, with Tom Harvey a close sec ond; for the woman with the whitest hair, Mrs. L. O. Rodg ers (Velma Shelley). Parents of the largest family were Mr. and Mrs. Phil Todd, with ev en children, while Floyd Bak er and his wife, tne former Peggy Reter, won the award for the newest baby, their fifth child and the first son, five months old, Prises Given Longest married was Mrs. Howard Conger (Margaret Purcell), who will shortly cel ebrate her 25th. wedding an niversary, while the most re cent wedding was that of Mrs, O. A, Mosley (Doris Ellen- burg). Prize for the only bach elor present went to Jack Thompson. Robert Cherry was winner of a special prize. Robert Gail, ' student body yell leader, led the class in their favorite school cheer, "Allah," honoring each reun ion committee member. Mrs. Ellis and Mrs.' Harrington were co-chairmen In charge of arrangements and the tea was given, as it is each year, at HUlcrest House, one of the homes of Mrs, Day's parents, the late Mr. and Mrs, Roginal Parsons. Mrs. Day's work for the Cancer society includes boards and committees on state and regional levels. . The winning team will receive a trophy which will then be on display In the school. . At 7:30 p.m. Johnny Eads will present his magic show in the school gymnasium. There Will be a small charge per individual, or a maximum charge per family. The pro gram will be followed by a Walt Disney movie "Bear Country." A baked food sale will be held in the hallway and re- tresnments will be sold in the school cafeteria during the movie and later. Mrs. Ed Evans, committee member. stressed that the event Is for the entire family and casual dress is suggested for all at tending. , V Annual Event To Benefit County Cancer Society Talent The Talent branch of the' Jackson County Cancer society has completed plans for the annual benefit silver tea and ceramic show to be held at the Talent City hall Friday, April 28. ; The hall will open at 9:30 a.m. for entries, judging will be completed by 12:30 p.m. and the event will be open for visitors from 1 to 8:30 p.m. Demonstrations will be given throughout the event, with those of special interest planned for the evening. Slated for 6:30 p.m. is a dem onstration of wheel throwing b Robert Onstad, Ashland; at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Kuby Ralston, Medford, will demonstrate mold making and sculpture, and Mrs. Clarkley Knight, Klamath Falls, will demon strate work with copper foil. Mrs. Knight took several prizes at the recent ceramic show in Portland. Ribbons will be awarded in several classes. Those inter ested In entering are asked to call Mrs. C. O.
