It's good news now as cos tumes and ensembles step out with real swing for the new season. Worth talking about are the two - and - three part fashions, usually starting with a hand somely - shaped sheath that can "go it alone" anywhere and everywhere in smart style. Add to this a bright coat dramatized by a matched - to the - dress lining, a demi fit jacket, a bolera or a sweater and the dress becomes doub ly impdrtant in any setting . Smart basic dresses, inter esting and exciting by them selves are often enhanced this season by capes, and jackets with a cape - effect. At smart late - day and evening gath erings these ensembles are des tined to make a grand en trance. , ' , ' Two-Piec Ensembles i, Two-piece ensembles of ov erblouse and skirt are often topped with casual cardigan jackets, lined and unlined. Many of these take printed tops that coordinate with the solid colors of jacket and skirt, For dramatic date time set tings, scooped 1 neckline sheaths show off when barely- there jackets, capelets : or brief boleros are removed. Such double life ensembles as the dress with 's coat, or a fitted tunic jacket are ideal lor glamour settings too. i " Dress and sweater duos-'-from the most simply stated classic for the office, for the vacation trip or Sunday ex cursion - look to their more dressy and sophisticated sis ters In be-Jeweled cashmeres over silks, silk linens and 6th- er simple but elegant fabrics The ensembles are excep tionally exciting this year be cause this fashion group pro vides endless opportunity for color mating, mixing, coordi nating or color bating. Attention Focused On Legs This Year These days a gal hasn't a leg to stand on, from a fash ionplate standpoint, unless her gams are scrupulously groomed! Sheer hosiery, dainty shoe styles and shorter skirts focus attention on legs. So, here are some quick tips from the Lady Reming ton Beauty Institute: Once a week give yourself a pedicure from toes to knee-cap. Use all the trimmings: fragrant bath oil,; pumice stone, nail polish and skin cream. And, be sure to defuzz legs. Use an electric shaver, of your own. to ellmlnalte nicks and scrapes that can mar the good looks of marble-smooth legs. Take advantage, too, of new spring hosiery shades to flat ter your limbs. Rosy shades, warm beiges and tan tones will round out the shape of a thin leg visually. Darker tones will tend to minimize plumper limbs; Lastly, keep snoes in snip- shape condition to complete that bandbox appearance from foot to head. - Pace for black and white patents con tinue as spring accessory fa vorites. Of particular Interest is the cleverly detailed, young-mood smock look-of animated dress, coat and sportswear fashions for the tiny little miss. New Pins i New pins, pendants and charm bracelets feature cute little bunnies, chicks and oth er animals. ' Little sister pairs up with little brother in matching out fits for spring "togetherness" , . . and she's also copy-cattlng older sister with butcher boy and crop - topped long pants and pedal pushers. The French smock look has carried over into her playwear, with cob bler - topped long pants.' Pi que continues as the trled-and-true fabric leador for tiny fashions. - Just For Fun i The playwear world of girls up to subteens is bright with "mad, mad, mad" prints and hotter than hot colors in new leisure - wear fashions and culottes (these are seen in both dress and skirt styles), plus standard playtime wear. Textured and patterned knits, woven plaids and other, cottons are all making a big splash In bathing suits and all have a very feminine look about them, with ruffles and pleats, trimmings of laces and eyelets. Single piece suits are seen most, with baby bikinis and three-quarter styles avail able for the more "daring" of the young fun set. Color Interest in bathing suits Is centered on gold and lavender . . . while still very much in the picture, are the brighter hues and the new, off-color, exciting pastels, , FOR TEENS - A chevron type striped sheath dress in Irish " Linen. The sash belt, boot neck and sleeveless de tailing are all brand-new themes. Tri-colored handling of the stripes are pointed up in gay, bold color combina tions. By Sue Brett, Four Steps Listed To Dramatize Eyes The woman who receives lavish attention is the woman whose eyes are bewitchingly beautiful because she subtly enhances them with eye make up, and lovely eyes are focal points for spring. There are four steps, say Coty cosmetologists, that will damatlze a woman s eyes. First, select a subtle eye shadow color that blends with the color of your gown. Stroke the shadow in a wide swath just above the lashes, then blend with fingertiDs, up ward and outward but not beyond the edge of the brow, For a more exotic effect, use iridescent eye shadow in con junction with eye shadow chosen, and lightly blend in for a luminous effect. The second step is to line the eyes with liquid liner. Hold your mirror below your face so that eyes are half- closed; Starting at the inner corner, draw a fine line along the .base of the upper lashes Finish with a short, fine, up tilted stroke at the corners to give them a longer look. .: The third; step fdarken Drows to cuauuiuny accent the eyes. Apply pencil In feather strokes to, the hairs of the brows, touching the skin only to , fill in sparse places or to reshape or arch the brows. Then, gently blend in with the little finger or brush. ' ' , : The fo-:rth step, which gives a deep, romantic luster to eyes, Is to sweep over the lashes from base to tip using a wand-type mascara applica tor. When the- lashes appear thick and luxurious, tip the ends with an exotic iridescent shade. If you buy modern furni ture piece by piece from the same group, be sure that the other pieces will he in stock for the time you are ready to add to your set. rr J .7. 7J i rnoe-in inai old tvorn out pump on a new modern water system n genuine ...
