Mr. tiily's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gale Culy, 21 Washing ton street. Vhlte chrysanthemums dec orated the church for the wedding attended by 125 rela tives and friends. Soloist was trie Rev. G. Robert Jacks. Mr. Lytle escorted his daughter tJ the altar and gave her in marriage. .The bride wore a floor length gown of silk organza over taffeta fashioned with filled bodice and long sleeves. Reembroidered Alencon lace accented with pearls and se quins outlined the scoop neck line and was appliqued on tBe bodice and front of the bbuffant skirt. Back detail in cluded a butterfly bustle and tBe skirt ended in a chapel tfain. Her fingertip length veil was held by a queen's crown of lace and tulle out lined with pearls and embroi dered with iridescent sequins. She carried a white orchid and stephanotis on a white Bible. Miss Penny C a n t w e 1 1, Grants Pass, was honor at tendant and bridesmaids were Miss Judith Elgin, Miss Kar eri Fisher, Miss Carolyn Ed ward, Gold Hill, Miss Iverne Iyerson, Miss Barbara Nulton ajid Miss Janet Snodgrass. frocks werryf taffeta in afternoon length with matching bow headdress. They carried bouquets of white carnations. Miss Cant well wore royal blue and the bridesmaids were in holiday blue. Jtmies Tizckker served as best man. Ushers were Doug las Johnson, Corvallis, RaJph Thompson, Mill City, Paul Elgin, Albany, Kenneth Shrum, Sweet Home, James Myhre and Larry Van Aus dall. For her daughter's wedding and reception which followed at the church, Mrs. Lytle wore a moss green brocade dress with white and gold accesso ries. Mrs. Culy chose a pale blue knit dress with pink ac cessories. Their corsages were of white stephanotis. Mrs. Benton Lytle, Sepul veda, Calif., aunt of the bride, cut and served the wedding cake and Mrs. Terry Cant well, Grants Pass, and Miss Sandra Arant assisted with the punch and coffee. Miss Linda Jo Waltcrmire was in charge of the guest book and Miss Rita Miller was at the gift table. Miss Karen Casey passed bags of rice. To San Francisco The couple traveled to San Francisco on their wedding trip, the bride wearing a rose beige wool suit with black accessories. The bride attend ed Medford High school and Southern Oregon college and is working toward a music education degree at Hartt Col lege of Music, Hartford, Conn. Mr: Culy attended Medford High school and Southern Ore gon college and was grad uated from Oregon State col lege. He is a mechanical engi neer with Pratt-Witney Air craft corporation, Hartford. The couple will live in East Hampton, Conn. A rehearsal supper was giv fn at the Culy home Decem ber 27 attended by members of the wedding party and par ents. Wedding party members and immediate relatives of the couple attended a buffet supper at the Lytle home fol lowing the church reception. Among the out of town relatives were Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Lytle, Glendale, Calif., grandparents, and Benton Lytle, Sepulveda, Calif., un cle. Relatives of the bride groom from out of town in cluded Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Culy, Marysville, Calif., and Mrs. Percy Dufton, Modesto, Calif., grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Miller, Flour noy, Calif., and daughters, E. J. Coke, Corning, Calif., and two children, Mrs. B. W. Mushaney, Chico, Calif., and daughters, and Mrs. Robert Coke, Ashland, and children, all aunts, uncles, and cousins, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Culy, San Diego, Calif., and Branch Culy, Medford. and daughter, great uncles and aunts. Return Home Ashland - Mr. and Mrs. Fe lix Cinkus, 308 Harrison street, arrived back in Ash land recently from a six weeks trip to Hawaii. Mr. Cinkus was stationed In the islands during both World War I and World War II while serving in the navy. Her fiance is an airman re cruit stationed with the Unit ed Stales Navy at San Diego. He attended Phoenix High school. No date has been set for their wedding. Wedding Held In Cathedral Announcement was made last week of the marriage of Margaret Custer Dix to Rob ert D. Ford Jr. The rites were read in San Francisco Decem ber 28 by the Rev. Norman L. Conard at Grace Episcopal church. The couple entertained Sat urday, January 7, at an infor mal open house at their home, 1846 Woodlawn drive, for close friends, and made the I announcement at that time. Mr. and Mrs. Ford have been associated in business since last March. They are co-owners of the firm, Marco Advertising. Parties Follow j New Year Dance ; Mrs. Henry Mapston were hosts to 1!) guests at a New Year's party at their home following a New Year s eve dance at Upper Applegate Grange hall. The early morn ing hours inspired a ham and egg breakfast. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Fos sen also were hosts to a group at an after-dance party at the T. A. Dyrdahl residence. Holmers 'Return Mr. and Mrs. John liolmer have rnturnod to their home on Old Stage road after a va cation in Santa Ana. Calif., with their son, John Holmer. Among the decorations was a money tree, a gift from the couple s children. Cutting and serving the cake were the couple's daughters-in-law, Mrs. Harold Smith, Mrs. Dclmar Smith and Mrs. Norman Smith, and daughter, Mrs. Roscoe Owens Pouring were Mrs. Hubert Smith and Mrs. Opal Finley, sisters-in-law, Mrs. Flora Shaw, Mrs. Smith's sister, and Miss Jeanne Kent, a family friend. Assisting about the rooms was Mrs. Dale Haggard, granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kuest. Mrs. O. T. Wilson, Mrs. Charles Morehouse and Mrs. Morris Frink. Richard Smith, grandson, was in charge of the guest book and Miss Peggy Smith and Miss Cynthia Owens, granddaughters, were at the gift table. Others assisting with the event were Mr. and Mrs. Gas ton Floux. Mrs. Lester Gor- Denzer Home Scene of Party New Year's day many val lev families held informal open house parties. Among these were Mr. and Mi s. F. W. Dcnzer, Mrs. Denzcr's moth er, Mrs. Emma Mero, and the Dcnzer's daughter. Miss Lin da Dcnzer, who live at 10 Western avenue. More than 40 relatives and friends from Medford and other southern Oregon cities attended. These included chil dren, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Mrs. Emma Mero. Her great grandchil dren are Larry and Diana Calkins, children of Mr. and Mrs. Clay V. Calkins, and Teresa, Karl and Erie Fann, children of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Fann, Grants Pass. Miss Danusia Kosecka be ifrime the bride of Herbert Bell In a candlelight ceremony DcQ-mber 27 at Zion Luther- n church. The Kev. II. L. Coovert officiated at the eight clock evening rites. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jcrzy Muller, 829 Minnesota avenue. Mr. Bell's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bell, 512 Her bert street, Ashland. The bride, given in mar-. riage by her rather, wore a own of satin brocade fashion- with fitted bodice, long sleeves, scoop neckline and onffant skirl. The neckline was accented with brocade ap pliques trimmed with pearls nd iridescent sequins and self bows were on either side of the skirt near the waistline. A full bustle formed a chapel train. Her elbow length veil was held by a miniature pearl crown and she carried a cas cade bouquet of pink roses en- ircling a white orchid. Miss Bonnie Cox was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Iverne Ivcrson and Miss Courtney Bell, Ashland, sister of the bridegroom. They wore emerald green frocks with velveteen bodices and peau de soie skirls, and green feather hats. Little Julia Slogowski was flower girl. She wore a while nylon frock and carried a bas ket of flower petals. Dr. Frank Haines, Ashland served as best man. Seating tile guests were Clark Barker, Clarence Comstock, Ashland, and Hans Lasson, Ashland. Miss Ruth Coovert played the organ wedding music and accompanied Mrs. Oscar Bjor- lic, soloist. Decorations were n keeping with the Christmas Mrs. Muller chose light purple dress with white ac cessories for her daughter's voiding. Mrs. Bell wore a blue dress with matching ac cessories. Following the wcddiiiig re ception was held at the church attended by 110 relatives and friends. Mrs. Iver Ivcrson cut and served the wedding cake and Mrs. Emil Knutson pre sided at the punch bowl. Mis. Rich a r d Kosmatka was in charge of the guest book and Miss Jan Coghil! was at the gift table. The couple is at home at 403 Wightman street, Ashland. The bride is a graduate of Medford High school and Mr. Bell of Ashland High school. They arc both students at Southern Oregon college. Among the out of town guests were Mrs. Don Davis and daughter, Jennifer, aunt and cousin, from Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Before the wedding Miss Koseuka was honored at a shower given by Mrs. Robert Messenger in Ashland. Guests were college friends of the bride-elect. During Ihe eve ning she was dressed in a "w e d d i n g gown" made of newspapers and this was deck ed with ribbons from the gift packages. The bride was graduated from Medford High school in 1959 and is employed by Montgomery Ward company. Her fiance, a graduate of Plymouth High school, is pres ently stationed at .Fort Lewis, Wash., with the Army. About 100 persons attended Among those present was Charles Morehouse, master of the Grange, and Pamela Hag gard, the couple's only great grandchild, a daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Haggard. The cou ple's youngest son, Roland Smith, of Davis, Calif., was unable to attend. The couple was married In Jacksonville December 24, 1910, and have lived in Jack son county more than 50 years. They are charter mem bers of the Central Point Grange. Anniversary Observed Provolt - Mr. and Mrs. Cy ril McKay, Provolt, have re lumed from a trip to Ontario, Calif., where they visited rel atives and celebrated their sil ver wedding anniversary. Among those who attended the anniversary were Mrs. Julia McKay, mother of Mr. McKay, Donald and Mack Mc Kay, brothers of Mr. McKay, and James McKay, their son. Families of the relatives were also present. Also present was another son, Douglas McKay, a seaman in the U. S. Navy. Mr. and Mrs. McKay were married December 25, 19:i5 at Cald well, Idaho, by the Rev. L. G. Krasher, now pastor of First Baptist church in Grants Pass. In California Ashland - Mr. and Mrs. Sam Davis and three chil dren, 590 Glenview drive, spent the holidays visting rel atives in the Bay area and in southern California. In cluded In their vacation were Disneyland, the New Year's Day Rose parade in Pasadena and the Washington-Minnesota football game in the Rose Bowl. Couple and Son Hold Open House Mr. and Mrs. R. H.
