Cloak, Dagger Movement's by Pro Gridders By HAL WOOD San Francisco UIP1I T h e cloak and dagger movements of the San Francisco Forty Niners and the Green Bay Packers took on the aspects of World War III today as the two grid powers prepared to play for the Western division lead in the National league on Saturday. Both camps were shut down to visitors, spies were in every tree and photographers were about as popular as an alien with a camera in World War II. In fact, the whole affair got so out of hand that Green Bay was hiring a guard to go around the Stanford practice field and spit tobacco juice in the knot holes. Film Grabbed Paul Gorman, United Press International photographer, found this out when he tried to get some pictures from long range. When he finally snapped one, it immediately was grabbed by one of the Packer guards. The worst part of it was that on the roll of film were several pictures of the Forty Niners In action with their shot-gun offense," said Gor man. Phil Bengston, former Forty Niner defensive coach and now handling the same job for the Packers, was elated at the news that the film had been captured. "We better get that film de veloped right away," said Bengston, "so we can take a look at what they are doing."
