Not Inconceivable i - "Although experience may show the disadvantages - are greater," the committee con tinued, "it is not inconceivable that in" time some types of coronary cases will find re lief by being sent to a space .station in free fall around the earth." , " : Concerning cancer victims, the report said that perhaps "some ingredient in the spec trum of radiation reaching a space ship" will be helpful "if the patient is sent up to a space station for therapy." Mechanical Stomachs - In yet another direction, the committee said research Deposits in Medford Bank Show Increase Total deposits of $840,101, 573 and loans amounting to $510,274,206 were recorded Oct. 3 by the 84 offices of First National Bank of Ore gon, Ralph J. .Voss, bank pres ident, said following a call for statements of condition by the comptroller of the cur rency. The figures represent in creases of $7,086,830 in depos its and $3,166,657 in loans since the June 15 bank call; and a decrease of $16,206,773 in deposits and an increase' of $28,856,257 in loans compared to one year ago, Voss said. Figures released by the Med ford branch of First National, show that on Oct. 3j deposits at the branch were $25,016, 752 and loans were $18,001, 211, according to J. A. Moore, vice president and manager.. Released at the same time were comparable, totals for the branch for a year ago. On that date, deposits were $26, 277,542 and loans totaled $16, 247,511. ' Figures released at the Cen tral Point branch show that Oct. 3 deposits at the branch were $3,113,298 and loans were $2,608,479, according to F. C.
