Rich aids and three daughters, Ju lia, Catherine and Margaret, are in Medford to spend sev eral days with Mrs. Richards' lather, H. S. Ingle, 338 Bessie street. The Richards have been on a camping trip, and plan to fish in the Rogue riv er while in southern Oregon. Vacationers Visit At Robertson Home Hornbrook - Guests this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Robertson are Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Crabb, Beau mont, Calif. The visitors had been on a trip up the Oregon , coast, and into Washington. Adventist Ceremony IVeds Pair Miss Beverly Jean Fjarli, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Fjarli, 4017 Jacksonville highway, became the bride of Har old M. Follett, son of Mrs. Manoa Follett, Roseburg, in rites held Sunday, August 14. The wedding ceremony was read at five o'clock in the afternoon in the Valley View Seventh-day Adventist church by Elder Ira Follett of Ha waii, uncle of the bridegroom. Min ribbon bows and pink carna tions marked the pew ends. Wedding music was played by Mrs. Harold Yost and the soloists were Dr. John Fletch er, Roseburg, and Miss Donna Olson, Milo, Ore. The bride wore a gown of chantilly lace and tulle over taffeta with fitted bodice, long sleeves and Sabrina neckline decorated with irridescent se quins and seed pearls. The bouffant skirt had appliques of lace and irridescent sequins over the front panel of tulle, and the back was a cascade of alternating ruffles in lace and tulle. Her finger tip veil of silk illusion was held by a crown of pearls and she carried pink rosebuds and stephanotis en circling a white orchid. Mr. and Mrs. Fjarli gave their daughter in marriage. Miss Lois Wilson, Portland, college roommate of the bride, was honor attendant and other attendants were Mrs. Louis Malm, Portland, another roommate and Miss Barbara Thomsen, Centralia, Wash., cousin of the bride. All wore frocks of pink ny lon sheer over embossed taf feta fashioned with close-fitting bodices, full skirts and puffed sleeves. They carried fashioned bouquets of pink gladioli matching their gowns and wore tulle veils held by matching headbands. Miss Marilyn Follett and Miss Dorothy Wells, Roseburg, sister and cousin of the bride groom, lighted the candles. Their frocks were of pink em bossed taffeta. Wanda Wells, Roseburg, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl and Bruce Fjarli, cousin of the bride, was Bible boy. Wanda was dressed as a bride. Emil Alavezos, Roseburg, served as best man, and Don Christie, Roseburg, and Bob Cunningham of College Place, -nil vX4 I Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. Follett Wash., college roommate of the bridegroom, were grooms men. Seating the guests were Del mer Fjarli, cousin of the bride, Clyde Fjarli, her broth er and Larry Schoefield, Rose burg. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Fjarli chose a lace and tafetta dress of dusty rose with white accessories and rose orchid corsage. Mrs. Fol lett wore a beige lace dress over pink tafetta with white accessories and pink orchid corsage. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Girls Community club with Professor L. E. Russell, Milo, as master of ceremonies. Mrs. Merlin Fjarli, Med fbrd, and Mrs. Melvin John son, Portland, cousins of the bride, cut and served the wed ding cake. Mrs. Delmer Fjarli, Med ford, and Miss Lillian Konzal- man, McMinnville, Ore., pre sided at the punch bowl Waynette Fjarli assisted ir serving. Mrs. David Haridan was in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Elmer Fjarli, Medford, Mrs. Herman Thomsen, Cen tralia, aunts of the bride, and Mrs. Roy Wells, aunt of the bridegroom, were in charge of the gift table. Soloists for the reception were Elis Vance, Roseburg, Russell Thomsen, cousin of the bride, Centralia, and Carol Follett, sister of the bride groom. James and Robert Na tions, Grants Pass, Delmer Fjarli, the bride's cousin and Rudy Yost, all former Milo Gardeners Plan First Meeting Medford Garden club will open its fall program with an herb luncheon Thursday, Sep tember 1, at Ping's Gardens, 2330 North Pacific highway. For reservations or transpor tation members are to con tact Mrs. LcRoy Clinc or Mrs. Ira Fitzgerald, before August 29. Luncheon will be served at 12 o'clock and members wish ing transportation are asked to meet at the courthouse en trance by 11:30 a.m. Elective board members and chairmen are asked to meet with the president, Mrs. Dayton DePue, Monday, Au gust 20, at 1:30, at her home, 1010 Murray avenue. Eagle Point Women Announce Meeting Eagle Point -Eagle Point Grange Home Economics club will meet at the home of Mrs. G. A. Hubbell of Trail instead of with Mrs. Gertrude Stan ley Wednesday, August 31 The meeting will start with a 12:30 o'clock luncheon and reports of the 4-H county fair will be reviewed. academy classmates of the newlyweds, formed a quartet to sing. The newlyweds traveled to Victoria, B.C., on their wed ding trip, the bride wearing a beige linen jacket dress with the orchid from her bouquet. The bride is a graduate of Milo academy and has at tended Walla Walla college the past three years. The bridegroom is a student at the same college and the couple will live at College Place after September 15. Here for the wedding were Miss Yvonne Follett. Medford Teacher Contest Winner Mrs. Louise Davis, 1514 Bryant street, was the winner of a power workshop in a re cent nation-wide contest spon sored by the Pittsburgh Paint company. Mrs. Davis' entry, complet ing a phrase concerning Wall hide paint, was one of the na tional winners. The winner is a teacher at McLaughlin Junior High school. Portland Family Here For Plays Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Zol linger, Portland, and their daughter, Miss Betty Zollin ger, New York, were in the valley last week to attend plays at the Shakespearean festival. Mrs. Zollinger was chair man of the recent Oregon Conference on Aging and is also on the executive council for the International Geron tological congress which just convened in San Francisco. She is also a member of the executive board of the Oregon Council on Aging and visited the Senior Activity center and Rogue Valley manor in Medford. Mr. Zol linger is an attorney. Mn. Shinar, Children Return From South Hornbrook-Mrs. Glen Shin ar and children, Jackie and Debbie, returned Wednesday from Los Angeles, where they spent a week visiting Mrs. Shinar's mother and brother, Mrs. Norma Pickard. and Robert.
