SUWDAT, AUGUST 28, 19W MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE, MEDFOHD, ORE. Brood-Hertam Qeremony Shower Given Tuesday Night gust 27 at First Presbyterian church. The bride-elect was present ed a shower of kitchen gifts for her new home. An umbrel la decorated in pink and white and with wedding bells was in the shower theme, and the cake served at refresh ment time was decorated with umbrellas. Thirty-one guests were in vited to the evening event. The bride is a daughter ot Mrs. Ada C. Horsley, 651 J street, Medford, and Comdr. Grant E. Horsley, United States Navy (Retired). Miss Carol Jean Horsley West Jackson street. Miss was honored at a shower given August 23 by Mrs. John Rector at her home, 214 Horsley's wedding to Robert Lee Gilmore took place Au Eagle Point-Miss Linda Louise Hertager, daughter o Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hertager, Eagle Point, became the bride of Delmar Gene Brood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Brood, Dark Hollow road, Phoenix, August 19. The Rev. H. C. Coovert performed the double-ring ceremony at Zion Lutheran church at eight o'clock in the evening. Ap proximately 200 guests at tended. Pink and white gladioli decorated the church. May nard Hadley was soloist, ac companied by Miss Ruth Coovert, organist. The bride wore a gown of white lace over satin, with a full skirt and a scoop neck line trimmed in seed pearls. Her finger-tip length veil was held by a headpiece trimmed in pearls. She carried a bou quet of white gladioli and Cymbidium orchids with sprays of ivy. Mr. Hertager escorted his daughter to the altar. Her attendants were Miss Patricia Clave, who was maid of honor, and Mrs. David Bliss, Trail, and Miss Nadine Brood, Phoenix, sister of the bridegroom, bridesmaids. They wore gowns of pale blue nylon chiffon with white slippers. Their headpieces were decorated with seed pearls to match the bride's, and they carried bouquets of pink gladioli. The flower girl. Shelly Cox, Eagle Point, and the candle lighters, Stephanie and Fran ces Waits, Klamath Falls, cousins of the bride, also wore gowns to match, in taffeta. Wears Pink For the event, Mrs. Her tager chose a pale pink bro caded sheath dress with pink and white accessories and a rosebud corsage. The bride groom's mother wore an off white ensemble and a white carnation corsage. Duane Brood, Phoenix, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Clyde Ashinhurst and Richard Hertager, brother of the bride. A reception followed in the church. Tables were deco rated with tuberous begonias and pink and white gladioli. Pink and rose tuberous be gonias encircled the wedding cake, which had been made and decorated by the bride's mother and her aunt, Mrs. James Waits, Klamath Falls. Mrs. Waits and Mrs. Earl Brewold cut and served the cake and Miss Glenna Bre wold was at the .punch bowl. Coffee was poured by Mrs. Darrell Copeland. Miss Bar bara Ashinhurst and Miss Margie Brood were at the gift table and Miss Suedene Christian took charge of the guest book. Mrs. Earl Fichtner played the piano during the recep tion. To Lake Tahoe The newlyweds traveled to Lake Tahoe on their honey moon and will make their home at 1015 West 11th slreet. The bridegroom, a graduate of Phoenix schools, attended Shasta Junior col lege and is a senior at South ern Oregon college. The bride is a graduate of Eagle Point High school and is employed by Jackson County Federal Savings and Loan association. Guests at the wedding in cluded the bride's grandpar ents, Mr. and Mrs. Hilding Nelson, Klamath Falls, and her grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Hertager, Burlingame, Calif.; and (he bridegroom's grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Brood, Central Point. Lodge Officer Is Guest Here Miss Suzanne Patz, San Diego, grand royal princess of the Pythian Sunshine Girls for California, was a guest at a meeting of Talisman Rose bud council Thursday night. She was accompanied by her father, Fred Patz, grand coun cellor of Sunshine Girls, and Mrs. Patz. The Misses Linda Severson, Phyllis and Donna Overturf and Kelly Copeland present ed several skits. Miss Mar garet Grochocki gave a re citation. Refreshments were served by the Misses Dena Griggs, Rose Ann Brooks and Linda Severson.. The next meeting will be held Thursday evening, Sept. 16. Shower Honors Recent Bride Mrs. Delmar Brood, the former Linda Hertager, Eagle Point, was honored at a bridal shower Thursday, Au gust 25, at the Girls Com munity club. Mrs. Sandy Clave and daughter, Patricia, were hostesses. The Broods were married August 19 at Zion Lutheran church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hertager, Eagle Point, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Brood, Phoenix.
