The kingbird may chase Its enemy for miles, hovering over It, and diving down to peck at the other's back. Tho kingbird has been call ed a "piggy-back" bird by some observant observers for It has been known lo alight on the back of a rapidly fly ing vulture hawk or crow and rlilu for a considerable dls tance, hnnglng on by gripping a feather of the larger bird's hack.
