The result is claimed a hilarious farce comedy. Mrs. Carolyn Williams i teaching English under John Kovcnz, Mrs. Vicki Hiath is teaching with Mrs. William Ruck, and Eugene Kenney has William Ruck's after noon American problems classes. Mrs. William has majored in the humanities at Southern Oregon college. Mrs. Heath has attended both the Uni versity of Oregon and SOC. She has one term to complete in secondary education and plans to do some substitute teaching next year after she gets her degree. Kenney s school for three years was Oregon Slate and he finished up the last two years at SOC. His major is social studies. MHS boy were reminded to contact Alex McDonald, dean of boys, if they were interested in Boys state. As of Friday, there has been little response to the appeal for ap plications. Boys state 1 held each sum mer on the Oregon State col lege campus, at which time the boy study American his tory and government, along with the actual carrying out of the duties of citizens of a city, county, and state government. I. A. Mirick, band director, announced that the full MHS band will perform for the Elks' lodge May 5. Each year the Elks Invite the band to play for them, and after the performance a party is held for the music? ians. The Medford High school orchestra, under the direction of John Drysdale, presented a concert at Madison High school In Portland May 1, They left Medford early Sun day morning. A reception was held for them following the concert at which time they were met by the Madison music students. Any sophomore or junior girl interested in joining the Pep club was urged to sign up by Friday in Room 33. Live Ammunition Not in Navy Plans Washington -WfD -Rep. Al Ullman (D-Ore.) said today the Navy ha assured him it has no plans to use live am munition on any range which might replace the Navy range I in Morrow county, Oregon. ! Sens. Wayne Morse and Hall Luak, Oregon Democrats, have introduced legislation to move the Navy' Boardman range off 96.000 acres to per mit induslrinl development of the property. In exchange, they propose to give the Navy the same amount of acreage in Lake county, Ore. Ullman said in a statement that he has asked th Senate Armed Service subcommittee to make it clear that the Navy will net get more than its present holdings in the trans fer. He said he expects the subcommittee to act oon on the exchange proposal. Washington - (li?D - The gov ernment has begun a new pro gram of assistance to medical schools in clinical research. The Camp White veterans came through with a total pinfall of 9,746 in the four-game series. This is nearly 1.000 pins better than the 1959 score when Camp White finished well up in the national compe tition. The team deserves credit for staying In the tournament when illness disrunted the combination midstream. The two final games were run off after postponement with Ro man Glenn, Walter Biasing and Robert Grimes added for the final games. Irving Gray and Otto Kah nert each bowled over 200 In two frames. Gray's high score was 215 the first night and Kahnert bowled 212 in the fourth set. The Hobby Fair has come and gone and the sponsors are well pleased with the results this year. Some 2.500 visitors came to White City for the event, held in conjunction with the Pear Blossom festi val in Medford. While there were not as many exhibits as in former years, the quality of workman ship was exceptional, making it difficult for the judges to reach their decisions. In fact, the show was delayed while Officers for the coming year are named for the Fishing club, following their meeting recently, at which time it was decided to hold regular meet ings throughout the year. The new officers are O. R. Kipfer, president; Jumes W. Siniou ton, alternate; W i 1 li a m R. Groves, refreshments chair man; Jim Gillan, recorder; Ira Pollard, game warden. The Camp White Book club is conducting a series of talks with pictures bearing on geology and mineralogy at regular meetings. Runaway Heiress Expecting Baby Miami Beach, Fla.-(UPD-Run-away heiress Gamble Benedict Porambeanu is expecting a baby, and if It' a boy he will have the Romanian' name for "George." Gamble, who eloped to marry Romanian-born Andre Prumbeanu, said the baby is expected the second week in January. She and Prumbeanu broke the news from the resort hotel here where he works as an as sistant manager in charge of "guest relations."
