Ashland, in the middleweight competition were winners yesterday in the state motorcycle hill climb championships sponsored at Applcgate hill by the Rogue Valley Riders club of Grants Pass. Foose. with the White Cycle shot) entry, a special built Triumph sports machine, ne aotiated the hill in :22.5, a record lor the climb in addi tion to being the fastest time of the day. Second place in tht open went to William Roberts, Med ford, college student at Rid ding, Calif. Walker had a time of :40 in the lightweight divi lion and Winker was :27 in the middleweight activity. The Juniors had 661 2 mark ers, the seniors 47 and the sophomores 34'-2. Ray Smith in Ihe mile and half-mile and Len Griggs in the dashes were double win ners for the seniors. Bill Charley won the high hurdles for the juniors and shared first in the pole vault with Nick Lingren, another junior. Duffy, 71, had been a patient at the hos pital for nine years.
