In the play, Higgins, a pro fessor of phonetics, picks . up a poor flower girl off the streets of London and trans forms her into a beautiful and elegant young lady. , "Pygmalion" was first pro duced in Berlin in 1912 and was especially written by Shaw for a famous English actress, Mrs. Patrick Camp bell. The play was made into a movie in 1939 starring Leslie Howard and Windy Hiller, and has since been made into a musical, "My Fair Lady," by Loerner and Lowe. $2.88 $17.88 99c 1.. plus tax Medford, Oregon j &in .mill Medford Couple Honored On Fortieth Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Oval McClan ahan were honored on their 40th wedding anniversary by relatives and friends at their home at 2304 Spring street, Sunday, January 10 A tiered wedding anniver sary cake, made by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ellis, son-in-law and daughter of the couple, was served with coffee and punch.
