Dec 6. 1959 Pageant Planned For College Club A United Nations Christ mas pageant will be presented t the meeting of the Col lege Womens Club of the Rogue River Valley to be held at the Girls Community Club, Saturday, December 12, t 2 p.m. The pageant will be given by Mrs. Vern Wilson, Mrs. Miles Schobbert and Mrs. H. Chandler Drew. The committees for the meeting are Mrs. Olin Arn spiger and Mrs. G. B. Canode, hostesses, and Mrs. John A. Carter, social chairman. Past Noble Grands Hold Annual Election Mrs. Riley Applegate was elected president of the Past Noble Grands club of Olive Rebekah lodge at a recent meeting in Girls Community club.. Mrs. Frank Chapman was elected vice-president and Mrs. Clara Franklin, secretary-treasurer. The group plans a Christ mas dinner and gift exchange in the IOOF hall at 6:30 p.m. December 12. Mrs. Frank Chapman is dinner chairman and Mrs. Lee Garrett is in charge of entertainment. Serving refreshments at the last meeting were Mrs. Frank English, Mrs. Dollie Love and Mrs. Clara Rodgers. Ray Nelson of Berean Baptist church, White City. Yellow, white and bronze chrysanthemums and candelabra decorated the church. About 150 guests at tended. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white floor-length gown of peau 'de soie designed and made by Mrs. John Huffman, a friend of the family. It was styled with a bodice of Chantilly lace and a full skirt with lace panels. A satin bow accented the back, which was designed with a slight train. She carried yellow rose buds, a white Bible which was a graduation gift of her grandmother, and an em broidered silk handkerchief belonging to Mrs. William Marr, Forest Grove, grand mother of the bridegroom. Miss Dianne Palm, Rose burg, cousin of the bride, was her maid of honor. She wore a dress of white crystalin ov er yellow taffeta, with a yel low satin cummerbund. Her flowers were bronze spider chrysanthemums, which form ed her bouquet and head piece. Bridesmaids were Miss De- bra Dunlap, Trail, and Miss Georgia Weidman, Eagle Point, who wore dresses of teal blue crystalin with matching satin cummerbunds. They carried yellow spider chrysanthemums and wore matching flowers in their hair. Young Mary Lou Cuddy, Trail, who served as flower girl, wore a frock of teal blue crystalin and white lace. She wore a white carnation in her hair and carried yellow pe tals. Robert Palm, the bride's youngest brother, was ring bearer. Marvin Baker, Banks, Ore., was best man. Serving as ushers were Clyde Nunn, For est Grove; Michael Palm, the bride's brother; and Ray Palm, Roseburg, cousin of the bride. . Miss Diane Franklin, also a cousin of the bride, was at the organ. Miss Donna Millard sang traditional wedding mu sic. Guests attended a reception for the newlyweds in the church basement following the ceremony. Mrs. John Cox, a friend of the bride, made the cake, which was cut by Mrs. Glen Palm, Roseburg, aunt of the bride. Mrs. John Johnson, Eagle Point, poured coffee and Mrs. Nick Kohan es, Coos Bay, sister of the bridegroom, served punch. For the event the bride's mother wore a grey dress of antique satin designed with a lace bodice. She wore pink ac cessories and a pink rosebud corsage. The bridegroom's mother chose a dress of blue lace with white accessories and a white orchid corsage. , The bridegroom's parents were hosts at a rehearsal din ner for the wedding party Friday evening, November 27, at Ping's Gardens. In addition to those in the wedding party, out-of-town guests at the ceremony and reception included the bride groom's parents; his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam E. Marr, Forest Grove: and the brides' grandmother, Mrs. Ben Palm, Roseburg. Others were Nicholas Koha- nes, Coos Bay, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stafford; uncle and aunt of the bridegroom, and son, William, Forest Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ar naldi, Corvallis; Mrs. Clyde Nunn. The station is located on Highway 238 and four and one-half miles be yond Ruch. Hours for the exhibit are 1 to 5 p.m. and coffee will be served. Mrs. Jordan, a pianist and vocalist as well as an artist, is now booked at the Medford hotel. Mrs. Anderson and her husband, Mason, operate the service station and art shop. Anyone interested is invit ed to view the exhibit. Lillie Wood, relatives of the bride, Eugene. The young couple traveled to San' Francisco for their wedding trip, and will make their home in Forest Grove. For traveling the bride wore a white wool dress and fur trimmed red coat. She is a graduate of Eagle Point High school and was a v 10-year-member of Eagle Point 4-H clubs. The bridegroom attended Banks high school and Pacific university. He is employed by Gene's Color shop, Forest Grove.
