I lift Hw-v n w Mr. and Mrs. Richard James Pitiman (at right) who war married November 27 in First Presbyterian church, shared their wedding reception with the bride'st brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. James L. Christensen, whose wedding took place October 13 in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Pitiman is the former Nancy Jennings, and Mrs. Christensen was Melissa Jennings. Both are daughters of Dr. and Mrs. George S. Jennings, Saginaw drive, Medford. The Piiimans will live in Daly City, Calif., and the Chris tensen are making their home In Provo, Utah. (Landis photo) State Organizer To Pay Visits; Dinners Planned Mrs. E. L. Bartholomew, Medford, state organizer for the PEO sisterhood, will pay official visits to three local chapters this month. . She will visit chapteBE at a meeting Wednesday, Decem ber 9, at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. George Canode and Mrs. Arthur Warnock, 1716 Crown avenue. A no-host dinner honoring Mrs. Bartholomew will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Medford hotel. The state organizer will be a guest of chapter CP at a buf fet dinner beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 10, at the home of Mrs. Laurel G. Case, 31 Glen Oak court. The Mesdames V. H. Wil son, A. R. Schoenberg and J. K. Sanborn will assist the hostess. A business meeting will fol low the dinner. Chapter AU will meet at the home of Mrs. C. G. Van Val zah, 15 Geneva street, at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 19. A special meeting has been arranged in honor of Mrs. Bartholomew's visit. Mrs. Knute Froysaa and Gold Hill Couple Visits in Coquille Gold Hill Mr. and Mrs. Walter Doherty and family spent the Thanksgiving vaca tion at Coquille as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cornforths, who teach in the Coquille school system. Mrs. F. R. Olds will assist the hostess. Pitt man-Jennings bedding Held An event of Friday, Novem ber 27, was the wedding of Miss Nancy Jennings to Rich ard James Pittman. The double-ring ceremony was held at 4 o'clock in the after noon at First Presbyterian church with Dr. D. Kirkland West officiating. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George S. Jen nings, 218 Saginaw drive, Medford, and the bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Sterling Pat terson, Eugene, and Chester A. Pittman, Portland.. Baskets of bronze and gold colored chrysanthemums dec orated the church. The cande labra held white tapers,- and bronze chrysanthemums with white bows marked the pew ends. The bride wore a gown of embroidered nylon designed with full-length skirt and her elbow-length veil was held by a cap embroidered in pearls. She carried a cascade of pale green spider chrysanthemums with ivy. Dr. Jennings escort ed his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. Mrs. John E. Bullock, Mil waukee, Ore., was honor at tendant for her sister and the bridesmatrons were Mrs. G. Scott Jennings, Medford, the bride's sister-in-law, and Mrs. James L. Christensen, Provo, Utah, her sister. Mrs. Chris tensen, the former Melissa Jennings, and Mr. Christensen were married October 13 in Salt Lake City and the recep tion which followed her sis ter's wedding honored both couples. All the attendants wore street-length frocks of taffeta with full skirts, bracelet length sleeves and velvet cummerbunds. Mrs. Bullock's gown was of olive green with darker green cummerbund and matching accessories. Mrs. Jennings wore an orange colored frock with cummer bund and accessories of toast brown and Mrs. Christensen's frock was of gold colored taf feta worn with cummerbund, hat and shoes of toast brown. They carried cascades of white chrysanthemums, with ivy. For the reception, Mrs. Christensen changed to a wed ding gown of white linen made with billowing ballerina-length skirt, close-fitting bodice and puffed sleeves. Her short veil was held by a circ let of wax orange blossoms. The veil had first been worn by Mrs. Allen Keaton, Port land, at her wedding. Mrs. Keaton is the former Suzanne Reichstein of Medford. Mr. Patterson served as best man for his step-son, and ushers were William Beck, Ashland, and Robert Bayly, Eugene. Mrs. David Morgan, Shady Cove, was soloist for the cere mony and Mrs. Eva Marsh was at the organ. The reception was held in the church parlors. Two wed ding cakes were served. Cut ting and serving the cake for Mr. Pittman and his bride were Mrs. William Stoughton, Ashland, and Mrs. Kenneth Brown, Medford. " Orange blossoms on -the cake were made with orange blossom flavoring brought from France by the bride groom's mother and step father. Miss Sue DeVoe, Miss Doro thy Rhymes and Mrs. W. H. Reichstein cut and served the Christensen's wedding cake. Mrs. Richard Padgham served coffee and Miss Donna Witter, the punch. Mrs. Gay nor Huck (Judy Hall) took charge of the guest book. Mr. Pittman and his bride traveled to San Francisco for their wedding trip, the bride ! wearing a royal blue suit I with black fur and hat and I muff. A graduate of Medford ! High school and Southern i Oregon college, the bride is a teacher for the Jefferson ! School district in Daly City. Calif. Mr. Pittman attended the University of Oregon, Southern Oregon college and the American Institute of For eign Trade, Phoenix, Ariz.
