Zuspann has been set for Jan uary 31 at the home of the bride- elect, 27 Chestnut street. Mrs. Ludwig. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Orte go, Vancouver, Wash., is teacher-manager at Robertson School of Business. Mr. Zus pann, son of Mrs. Iris Bow man, formerly of Medford and now of Long Beach, Calif., is a salesman-announcer at Radio station KGRL in Bend. Annual Party Slated by Group The annual Christmas par ty for Women of Rotary will be held at the home of Mrs. Ralph Dippel, 1 Eastwood drive, December 9. Luncheon will be served at 12:30 o'clock, and an ex change of Christmas gifts will be followed by bridge or canasta. Sullivan (Brainerd phoio) Sullivan-Robinson 'Rites Held at Catholic Church Miss Elena Patricia Robin son became the bride of Dwight V. Sullivan in a wed ding held November 28 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Sacred Heart Catholic church. The bride is a daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon J. Robinson, 1917 East Main street. Mr. Sullivan's parents are Mr. and Mrs. DeLore Sul livan, 781 Beatty street. The Rev. John Ug officiated at the double ring, rites. Bas kets of white stock were on the altar and two baskets of white chrysanthemums were at the railing. Bruno Pelle grini played the wedding music. The bride wore an ankle length gown of white nylon accented with Chantilly lace trim at the neckline and hem. The fitted bodice had lace sleeves and her fingertip length veil was held by a seed pearl crown. Her necklace of a small gold heart set with pearls was a gift from the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet of pink baby roses and stephanotis. Mr. Robinson escorted his daughter to ' the altar. ".- Miss Delia Robinson was honor attendant for her sis ter and Mrs. Theron Karrick Jr., Forest Grove, another sis ter, and Mrs. Hubert Hewitt, sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmatrons. They wore Persian rose taffeta frocks in ballerina length v fashioned with full skirts and scoop necklines. Their headdresses were rose velvet and they car ried nosegay bouquets of pink baby roses and white chrysan themums. Burt Hayman, Talent, served as best man for his brother-in-law and seating the guests were Theron G. Kar rick Jr., Forest Grove, and Hubert Hewitt. For her daughter's wedding and reception which followed, Mrs. Robinson chose a black sheer wool suit with black silk hat and accessories. Mrs. Sullivan wore a blue and white two-piece frock with black accessories. Their cor sages were white carnations. The reception was held at the parish house at St. Mark s Episcopal church. Pink was the color theme for the event. Cutting and serving the cake were Mrs. Burt Hayman, sis ter of the bridegroom, and Mrs. William B. Clegg. Miss Beryl Bosshard, Ashland, pre sided at the punch bowl and Mrs. Lyman Robinson, cousin of the bride, poured coffee. Miss Marilyn Dittner was in charge of the guest book and little Bonnie Robinson, eight-year-old cousin of the bride, was at the gift table. The newlywed couple tra veled to Reno, Nevada, on their wedding trip and will be at home after December 7 Holiday Rites Planned by Pair Trail - Mr. and Mrs. Fred Morgan, route 1, Trail, an nounce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jean Ann, to Merle George Govenor, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Govenor, Prospect. Their wedding is set for Saturday, December 26. Miss Morgan is a graduate of Eagle Point high school and is employed by Jackson Elementary school in Med ford. Mr. Govenor attehded Pros pect school and served four years in the Air Force. He is employed by the Fred Chris tean Logging company. Anniversary Observed The 40th anniversary of In stitution was celebrated by Crater Lake chapter, Daugh ters of the American Revolu tion, at a meeting held No vember 28 at Girls Commu nity club. The regent, Mrs. Virgil Bolton, presided. Several readings were giv en by Mrs. Ray K. Bailey, and the women sang. The birthday cake was cut by Mrs. Volton, and Mrs. G. O. Taylor poured. Guests were Mrs. H. C. Cole, member of a chapter in Sacramento. Calif.; Mrs. Bruce Hamilton, Forest Grove, and Mrs. Marie Bailey, Reedsport. Hostess was Mrs. E. L. Mill er and the serving committee was Mrs. Judd Greenman. Mrs. William W. P. Holt and Mrs. O. E. G. Meyers. Annual Luncheon Set For Women Scottish Rite Women's club will hold the annual Christ mas party at the Medford hotel Monday, December 14, at 12 noon. Reservations should be made prior to Wednesday, De cember 10, by calling Mrs. R. A. Witham, SPring 2-5684 or Mrs. L. . D. Edwards, SPring 2-6804. Those attending are to take a gift to exchange. Cards will be played following the luncheon. The bride attended Medford High school and is employed at DeNa Beauty Salon. Mr. Sulli van attended Talent High school and is employed by his father, a painting contractor. Among the out of town guests attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. R. Invitations were received by valley residents last week, and reservations are now being accepted. The ball will be held Friday, December 11, in the Starlight room of Rncue Vallev Countrv club. As in previous years, wo men guests will wear decora tive headdresses, with prizes to be given for the winning creations. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served from 8 to 9 p.m. and dinner will be served beginning at 9 p.m. There will be dancing to the music of a four - piece or chestra, Trick and his Tune smiths of Tallyho, throughout the evening. Proceeds from the ball will go for the support of the league's kindergarten for children with hearing and speech problems. This is the league's special interest; it was founded by the Junior Service League, it is support ed by league profits from various social affairs, and it is manned by league members, who assist the professional teacher who is hired by them. Also on the calendar for December are several cock tail parties, dinners and events planned by groups. Dr. and Mrs. Ray L. Caster line have invited a group of friends to their home, 45 South Modoc avenue, for a cocktail party December 12. A second is planned for De cember 18, and a third will be given by the couple later in the season. Rogue Valley alumnae of Delta Gamma sorority are planning a holiday party to honor active members home from college. It will be held December 28 at the home of Mrs. Karl Clinkenbeard, 356 Cerritos avenue, and all Rogue valley Delta Gammas are invited to attend. A Christmas dinner dance will be given Thursday, De cember 10, at Mon Desir inn, Central Point by Welcome Wagon club. Members, their husbands and other guests are to attend, and reserva tions are being made with Mrs. James Pollard, SPring 2-8924, no later than De cember 8. Cocktails will be served at 7:30 p.m. and dinner at 8 p.m. Jackson County, Medical Assistants will hold a no-host party Friday, December 11, at St. Elizabeth Guild To Meet on Friday . Nomination and election of officers will be held Friday, December 11, at a meeting of St. Elizabeth's Guild at the parish house of St. Mark's Episcopal church. Holy communion will be celebrated in the church at 11 a.m. followed by a 12 noon luncheon and business ses sion. Each member and guest is to take a gift for exchange. All women of the church are invited to attend. Hostesses for the meeting will be Mrs. Ray K. Baker, Mrs. W. E. Cauller, Mrs. Eric O. Rabathan and Mrs. How ard C. Goldsmith. Musical Program Planned for Club Medford Junior Women's club will meet Wednesday, December 9, at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. John L. Holmes, 303 Willamette avenue. Main at Jean Hart's Shower Given For Bride-Elect Miss Mary Pat Lucy, Jack son county home extension agent for home economics, was honored November 30 by a kitchen shower at a meet ing of the Jackson County Ex tension Alumni committee. The engagement of Miss Lucy to Ralph Holzapfel, son of Mrs. Fred Holzapfel, Shedd, Ore., was announced last month by her mother, Mrs. C. L. Carter, Oceanside, Calif. The surprise shower was held at the home of Mrs. Fred Middlebusher, Hilton road. Sixteen persons attended. Mrs. Alice Ricks brought a small decorated Christmas tree which was used as a center piece for the luncheon table. Meeting Announced For Rebekah Lodge Olive Rebekah lodge will meet Monday, December 7, at 8 p.m. at Odd Fellows hall, 221 West Sixth street.
