Larry-Lee Kerr which took place Sunday, Septem ber ' 6, at First Methodist v church in Medford. The bride is the youngest . daughter of Dr. and Mrs; i;. Paul Walker, 2132 Dellwood avenue, Med ford, and "' the ' bridegroom's parents are, Mr. and Mrs. Dave S. -Kerr, 486 South Mountain, avenue, Ashland. Dr. George Roseberry offi ciated for the; ceremony, read ing the double-ring ' rites at four o'clock in the afternoon. About 200. guests were pres ent. Miss Janet Jamison sang, and Miss Sonja Peterson was at the church organ. ; Baskets filled with blue and white gladioli formed a setting for the wedding party. The bride's wedding gown of point d'esprit was fash ioned with a portrait neckline in the. close-fitting bodice and a billowing skirt made with chapel-length train. Her veil of bouffant silk illusion was held by a crown of pearl and sequins and she carried a prayer book with a cascade f white roses. . .. Mrs. Wayne Brady, Santa Rosa, Calif., was matron of honor, for her sister and the other four attendants 'were Miss Nancy Herman,- Berke ley, Calif., a Gamma jPhi Beta sorority - sister; : Miss Janet Carter, Mrs. Bradley Morris and Miss Sally Pyle.' They wore empire sheath frocks' of blue and white brocade and their ' headdresses ! were blue satin bows . holding circular blue net veils. All carried white gladioli. - ' Debra Lee Stanley, flower girl, .wore a taffeta dress of Copenhagen blue with a taf feta bow on her hair and car ried nosegay, r. ! - Candlelighters ' were Miss Leslie Stanley and Miss Mary Jean Weisbrod, Eagle Point. Both wore ' Copenhagen blue taffeta.' frocks: with bows of matching taffeta in their hair and their flowers were wrist lets of blue and white carna tions. ' Dr. Walker gave his daugh ter in marriage and George Brandt, : Klamath ' Falls, Phi Kappa Psi fraternity brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Seating the guests were Dr. Donald Kerr, Portland, brother of the bridegroom, Bradley Morris, Michael Mc Clain, Salem, and Walter Gar ner, the last two also being fraternity brothers of the bridegroom. The reception was held in the church reception rooms, which had been decorated with white : gladioli, ; blue chrysanthemums and ivy. The bride's table was covered with a, white silk cloth used previously at the weddings of the Walkers'' two, older daughters. The Misses Mary Lou Craig, Klamath Falls, and Carol Eagles, Albany, so rority sisters of the bride, cut the wedding cake. Pouring were the bride's cousin, .Mrs. 1 Kenneth Wulf, Salem, and her aunt, Mrs. Macey Arnold, ;lso Salem. Mrs.-Donald Kerr, Portland, sistef-in-law of the bride groom, took charge of the gift table and Miss Nancy Ham ilton, sorority sister, presided at the guest book. . ' The wedding cake was made by Mrs. E. Ronald Rice as a gift to the bride. Mr. Kerr and his ; bride traveled to Georgia, for their honeymoon, the bride wear ing a dress of charcoal blue with matching velvet hat and white rose corsage. The cou ple will make the trip by way of San Francispo, Las Vegas and New Orleans and will live at the Camellia Apart ments, 143A -Matheson road, Columbus, Ga. Catholic Rites Marry Couple; , Make Home Here Mr. and Mrs. Chester Cor dell Lengele Jr., newlyweds, are making their home at 1016 West Twelfth street, Medford. The bride is the : former Jeannine Marie Alie daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jean P. Alie, Holyoke, Mass., and her wedding to Mr. Lengele took place August 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Med ford. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Aubrey McMahon, Oak land, Ore., and Chester C. Lengele, 339 Haven street, Medford. . - The Rev John Ilg offici ated for the double-ring cere mony, held at two o'clock in the afternoon in the presence of 30 guests. The bride wore a gown of white Chantilly lace over taf feta, ballerina length, . and fashioned with a drapery and tiers of nylon tulle ruffles. She carried a white prayer book topped with a white orchid and carnations. Mr. and Mrs. Orvalle W. Lengele were best man and matron-of-honor for the cou ple, Mr. Lengele being the bridegroom's cousin. Mrs. Lengele wore a gown of pink Chantilly lace over pink taffeta with a pink lace bolero. Her flowers were pink and white carnations. Paul E. Alie escorted his sister to the altar. Arrangements of pink and white, gladioli decorated the church. Bruno Pellegrini play ed the wedding music. The reception which follow ed was given by 'Mr. and Mrs, Frank L. Lengele at their home, 1132 West Eleventh street. The honeymoon was. spent on the Oregon coast. The bride wore for traveling a yellow cotton- two-piece dress with white accessories. Candy Sale Planned Pythian Sunshine Girls will sell candy at the lodge hall Tuesday night. Members are to bring candy by 7 p.m. Plans for the sale were made at a meeting Thursday, Sept. io. Reception Honors Couple Mr. and Mrs. Ernest M Gleason, 2684 Crater Lake highway, were guests of hon or at an open house which celebrated their fortieth wed ding anniversary. : The reception, held August 29 at the Gleason home, was given by the couple's chil dren, Mrs. John Benson, Al fred . Gleason, Vernon Glea son and Mrs. Chester Peter son, all Medford, Jimmie Gleason, Grants Pass, and Royal Gleason, Albany. Mrs. W. A. Harper and Mrs. Donald Lamb served the cake. They were assisted, by the Mesdames Alfred, - Jimmie and Vernon Gleason. The Misses Rita and Loreli Peterson were in charge of the guest book. It was signed by 6 friends and relatives. Among out of town guests was the Gleason's grandson, David of San Gabriel, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Gleason were married, August . 27, 1919 in Norton,' Kansas. : They and their seven children moved to Jackson county on Septem ber!, 1937.; Their children have all been graduated from Medford, Jligh school. Their son, Theron -."Ted" Gleason, was killed while serving as a Mingers Visit National Park Mr. and Mr&TClyde Minger, 781 Marshall avenue, have returned- to Medford after spending avacation at Colter bay in the! Grand Teton Na tional . park, Montana. The Mingers were accompanied by their grandson, David Minger. In the park they were -met byr Mr. and Mrs Paul Nixon, Mrs. MihgerV brother-in-law and sister, and their son, David Nixon, Livonia, "Mich. The. couples " also -visited Yellowstone National park.
