But the nudists add they take it in stride. Any show of indignation would be a show of inhibition and that's pretty hard to imagine about nudists, said Mr. Hocker, manager of the nudist's Oakdale ranch. "If we were upset," he ex plained, "it would mean we're inhibited and if we are inhib ited we wouldn't be nudists, get it?" Hocker said that five mili tary planes from nearby Ed wards Air Force base flew over the camp Saturday and one forestry plane. Hocker said about 800 nu dists took part in the three day convention ended Sunday. It's an annual affair of the We tern Sunbathing associa tion. His parting thought for the day was this: Nudists believe that most people who sleep without bed clothes are poten tial nudists. Clark (D-Pa.) intro duced the Senate resolution Porter said he had received many letters from men and women from most parts of the United States expressing approval of the proposed res olution which would strength en the United Nations through the rule of law in the limited field of war prevention. The Oregon congressman said, "I believe avoiding all out nuclear war is item num ber one on any person's agenda today." He said. "It Is easy to avoid the responsi bility and find false security in the thought that everything will take care of itself. Porter said such thinking wouldn t solve the existing dilemma which he described as the greatest our world has ever known. Approximately 25 representatives and 20 senators have intruced the charter review resolution. The legislation will be in troduced in all legislatures in the free world and in other nations, ' if possible, Porter said. He added that more than a fourth of the members of the British Parliament sup port, the resolution. Arrange ments have been made to have the legislation filed in the legislative bodies of Italy, France, the Netherlands and West Germany. Search Starts for Two in Canyon Grand Canyon, Ariz. -(UPD- Searchers transported by heli copters scoured a remote area of the Grand Canyon floor to day for a Roman Catholic priest and his hiking compan ion. A third member of the hiking group was found dead. The body of Walter J. Ma- hany, 16, was located Sunday in the rugged heat-scorched canyon, the apparent victim of heat prostration and expos ure, rangers reported. A message scrawled in the sand beside his body said one of the three hikers had fallen Ranger Bincent Hefti, who helped find the body, said. He said it made no mention which of the three hikers had fallen. Tracks were found leading away rom the body and be lieved those of Father Gavi gan and Manson Ownes, 16, Hefti said. The victim and two other hikers were believed from Savannah, Ga. The hikers were tentatively identified from a diary. He reported by radio that he and his two companions were camping in the canyon and would begin following the tracks today. About seven more men were flown into the canyon to aid in the search. Temperatures have been reaching up to 115 on the can yon floor. Rangers said they believed the three hikers entered the mile-deep canyon Friday ihey failed to tell anyone their plans, however. The search started Sunday after hikers reported hearing cries for help. Curtis underwent two hours of sur gery at Mary's Help Hospital in San Francisco. Seattle Man Killed In Oregon Accident Portland-PD-A Seattle man who had been working here, Arthur D. Shaw, about 33, was killed Saturday when an automobile went out of con trol on Highway 212 between Damascus and Clackamas and crashed. A companion, Wesley K. Moxley, Portland, suffered chest injuries and was hosDi- talized in satisfactory condi tion. The U.S. Army has a new raft that can carry 12-ton loads in stream velocities up to eight feet ptr second. BIAS NOT SIGNIFICANT New York (UPD Religious discrimination has declined in American college admissions policies to the point where "no significant evidence" of bias exists, the American Jewish Congress reported Sunday. The report based on a questionnaire filled out by more than 1,200 high-ranking high school seniors in the state, said there was a "mark ed decline" in discrimination since similar surveys in 1949 and 1952.
