Garner Gives Up Cigars, Whiskey Uvalde, Texas-fCPD-Former Vic President John Nance Garner, who intends to live ' until he's 92, disclosed today as he approached his 90th birthday that he has given up cigars and whiskey. - - -"Cactus Jack," who served as Franklin D. Roosevelt's Tic president from 1933 to 1941, will be 90 years old Saturday. He spent 46 of his years in public life and he's determined to live until's he's spent an equal amount ; of tim as a private citizen. Bulganin Said Seriously III Moscow -ICPU- Marshal Ni kolai Bulganin, who was re placed as premier last April, is seriously ill and undergoing medical treatment in Moscow, reliable sources said today. Nature of his illness was net disclosed. The 63-year-old Bulganin also was reported ill last June and in 1955 when he was unable to receive a visiting Finnish delegation. Premier Nikita Khrushchev disclosed last summer Bulga nin had undergone an opera tion in a Moscow hospital. Last week Khrushchev de nounced Bulganin as a mem ber of the Malenkov-Molotov "anti-party group" which op posed Khrushchev's economic plans. This led observers to conclude Bulganin had been removed from his job in Stavropol. 4-H Club News Rogu River Dairy Club The Rogue River 4-H Dairy club met at the home of the leaders, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Par sons, Nov. 15. A program of work was adopted for the coming year with reports and demonstra tions assigned to the club members. Goals to be accomplished were discussed and adopted. Each member is to bring a food item for the Christmas baskets to be prepared at the next meeting. These will go to some needy family in our community.
