Fuller in a double-ring ceremony, held Saturday, August 16, at First Christian church, Medford. The bride is a j daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Edward Pingle, Butte Falls, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Arthur Swanson, formerly of Med ford and now of San Jose, Calif., announce the engage ment and approaching mar riage of their daughter, Gloria Jean Swanson, to Garry Franklin Hart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Hart, 3405 Lone Pine road, Medford. The wedding is scheduled to be held in Medford Sep tember 20. Miss Swanson is a gradu ate of Eagle Point High school and is employed by Sacred Heart hospital. Mr. Hart, a graduate of Medford High school and a student at South ern Oregon college, is em ployed by the U. S. Forest service. The Swansons left Medford in March after having lived here 10 years. " Howes Return Mrs. Roy Howe and chil dren, Rex and Gay, returned Monday from a visit with relatives and friends in Bak ersfield and Fresno, Calif. This week end Mrs. Howe and her mother, Mrs. Charles Heard, are in Eugene for the wedding of her cousin, and a family reunion. About 150 guests attended the wedding, held at four o'clock in the afternoon. Dr. Carrol J. Roberts, pastor of the church which the young people attend in Eugene, Ore., read the service, assisted by the Rev. William C. Piper, pastor of Medford First Chris tian church. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace and taffeta. The lace bodice was made with portrait neckline trim med with iridescent sequins, and. long sleeves; the lace and taffeta skirt was fash ioned with double bow and train. Her veil was held by a bandeau of iridescent se quins and she carried white shattered carnations and May Day miniature roses. She wore in her shoe a 100-year-old penny given her by Mrs. Fred Benner, Arcadia, Calif. Mrs. Kerry Livingston, Med ford, was honor attendant for her cousin and bridesmaids were Miss Mary Ann Hub bard, Prospect, a cousin, and Miss Mary Minor, Forest Grove. Mrs. Livingston wore a pink crystalene dress With picture hat and carried pink carnations encircled with blue daisies. Miss Hubbard's frock was yellow crystalene and Miss Minor was gowned in blue. Both wore picture hats and carried bouquets of pas tel and white daisies. Sherie Tygart was flower girl and Steve Tygart was ring bearer. Sherie wore a green crystalene frock with a garland of pink rosebuds and white tulle. Richard H. Fuller, Redding, Calif., was best man for his brother and ushers were Rob ert B. Gates, Halsey, Ore,; Samuel Hartzeler, Eugene, Allan E. Pingle, Butte Falls, cousin of the bride; and Kerry Livingston, Medford. White gladiolus and white candles decorated the church. The bride's mother wore a pale rose colored sheath dress with blue accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a teal blue nylon gown with matching accessories. Their corsages' were white shattered carnations with miniature pink roses. The reception was held in the church parlor. Pouring were Mrs. Donald Jolliffe, Butte Falls and Mrs. Jack De ' Rosier, Prospect. Miss Pamela Boiler, Arcadia, Calif., and Mrs. Donald Dillard cut the wedding cake, which was encircled with pink and white gladiolus. Miss Gloria Hag gard, Medford, and Miss Cathy Olson, Butte Falls, as sisted Mrs. William Bowen, Butte Falls, with the gifts. Miss Janice Gleason , took charge of the guest book. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in southern Ore gon and California and are now at home in Eugene where Mr. Fuller is manager of the University Fruit and Produce company. The bride attended Ashland Couple To Be Honored Ashland An pen house to celebrate the golden wed ding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Van Buskirk, C street, will be given Sunday, August 31 by Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hegler at their home, 209 Crowson road. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the celebra tion, between 2 and 5 o'clock in the afternoon. The Van Buskirks have lived in South ern Oregon since, their marriage. Southern Oregon college and the University of Oregon, and Mr. Fuller attended North west Christian college and the university. In Medford for the wedding were the bridegroom's parents and their daughters, Miss Sharon and Miss Gloria Dill man; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Donegan, Redding; Mrs. Florence Pin gle, Los Angeles, the bride's grandmother; Mrs. William Benner, Arcadia, Calif.; Miss Elaine Pingle, and Raymond Pingle, cousins of the bride from Los Angeles; Mrs. Elea nor Pittman, Los Angeles; Mrs. Samuel Hartzeler, Mrs. Robert B. Gates, Mr. and Mrs. O. Elliott, Jack Rainer and Mrs. Carrol Roberts, all Eu gene. " 4 Episcopal Rites Marry Couple; Bride Honored Eagle Point Miss Patricia Faye Regester and Errol Ray Tresham were married Tues day, July 29, at St. Mark's Episcopal church, Medford. The ceremony was read by the Rev. George R. V. Bolster. Miss Beverly Tresham, sis ter of the" bridegroom, and Larry Regester, brother of the bride, attended the couple. The bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Regester and her sister, Nanette, the bride groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tresham, and his brother, Duane, and Miss Lynda Jackel, Shady Cove, were present. The couple made a wedding trip to southern California and will live in Central Point. A shower honoring Mrs. Errol Ray Tresham was held at the Teenage dub in Eagle Point August 14.. Those at tending the shower were the honored guest, Mrs. LeRoy Regester, the bride's mother; Mrs. Ray Tresham, the bride groom's mother; Mrs: Michael Kaiser, Mrs. Jack Caldwell, Mrs. John Esp, Mrs. Edward Gray, Mrs. Edward R. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pringle, 601 North Modoc avenue, have as guesls this summer their daughter and grandsons, Mrs. Lois Pringle Wadsworlh and sons, Henry and William, of Norlhridge, Calif. Like most small boys with Ihese names, they are called Hank and Bill. Mrs. Wadsworlh comes to Medford each summer during August in order to attend plays at the Oregon Shakespearean festival, Ashland. Newlyweds Make Home in Medford Mr. and Mrs. Lyndel D. Jennings, who were married June 21 in Santa Fe, N.M., are now at home at 5055 South Pacific highway, Med ford. Mrs. Jennings is the former Tommie Mae Fowler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Fowler, Santa Fe, and Mr. Jennings is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Jennings, 503 Ed wards street. . The double-ring ceremony was held in Rand chapel of St. John's Methodist church of Santa Fe. The Rev. A. F. Wasson, Taos, officiated. The bride was given in mar riage by her father. Miss Joy Irby of Las Vegas, cousin of the bride, was her only at tendant. Barton McGuffin, a classmate of the bridegroom, served as best man. The bridegroom, is a gradu ate of Santa Fe High school.
