The bride wore an impart ed white French lace ani ftjf lon net gown with matching lace mitts. Her white net veil was held by a headdress of sequins and she carriedga bou quet of white orchids and stephanotis. She -uas escorted to the altar by her father. Miss Linda Montgomery was honor attendant for the bride. She wore a pale blue taffeta frock with light blue cummerbund. Miss Jeanette Nougier was bridesmaid. She was dressed as Miss Mont gomery with her dress of me dium blue with pale blue, cummerbund. They carried bouquets of pink gladiolus. Robert H. Hall served as best man for his brother while Jack Robinson, Roman A. Lake, Bakersfield, Calif., uncle of the bridegroom, and Hayward Boardman, Fresno, Calif., brother-in-law of the bridegroom, seated the guests. Sam CoiSey, brother of the bride, was ring bearer. Convention reports will be given by Mrs. Ben Allison, Mrs. Ralph Pittock and Mrs. Ivan Lusk. Lytle-Hite Rites Held In Ashland Miss Audrey Florence Hite, daHghter of Mrs. W. B. Smith, 1597 Camp Baker road, be came the bride of Robert Dean Lytle", son of Mr. and Mrs, Robert R. - Lytle, 100 Meyers Creek road, Ashland, in a ceremony held June 11 in Ashland. The Rev. Boss Knotta of Ashland First Methodist church officiated at the 7:30 o'clock ceremony attended by 50 relatives and friends. The bride wore a white lace sheath frock with white feath er hat and carried a purple orchid on a Bible. Por the tra ditional "something old" she wore an opal ring that had belonged to her grandmother. Mrs. Glenn Spriggel, Ash land, attended the bride. She wore an aquamarine colored sheath frock with white ac cessories and white rose cor sage. " Glenn Spriggel served as best man and Keith See, Klamath Fallj, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Ernest Lytle, Central Point, brother of the bridegroom, seated the guests. White and pink roses and mock orange decorated the church for the ceremony. Miss Raydene Chisum, Phoenix, played the piano wedding mu sic and Mrs. Ernest Lytle, sister-in-law of the bride groom, was solqist. . Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Methodist church. The couple are makinf their home at 100 Meyers Creek road after their re turn from a wedding trip to the coast. For her traveling attire, the bride wore an avo cado colored sheath with matching jacket and white accessories. . The bride is a graduate of Phoenix High school. Mr. Lytle is a graduate of Ash land High school. Both of the couple are students at South ern Oregon college, Ashland. Student Attends FHA Convention Miss Arvella Prom, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. George J. Prom, Willow Springs road, Central Point, left this week for Kansas City, Mo., where she will attend the 1958 na tional meeting o f Future Homemakers of America July 7 through 11. Miss Prom, one of eight delegates from Oregon, is a senior at Crater High School and has been a FHA member since 1955. She has served as chapter secretary and vice- president and is president elect for 1958-1959. She is al so southern Oregon district chairman. In addition to her FHA ac tivities Miss Prom works in many school organizations. She attended Girls State last month, is a past president of Girls Athletic association, was Girls League secretary and is vice-president of the League. She is a member of the "cur tain callers" dramatic group at the high school and has par ticipated in several state speech meets during the past year. The five day meeting, with the theme "Future Homemak ers of America-Teens With a Purpose," is planned and car ried out by the teenagers themselves. It will give the Oregon delegates n oppor tunity to exchange ideas with other delegates from 47 states, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Attending the meeting will be 430 delegates accompan ied by 130 adult FHA advi sers. FHA is the national organi zation o f pupils - studying homemaking i n secondary schools in United Stater and territories. - Players Compete For Master Points . ' Thirty-two duplicate bridge players competed Wednesday for master points at the Riv erside - Bridge club's master point tournament. High scores were won in the north-south position by Mrs. Berg Marten and Mrs. Fred Rehling, first; Mrs. George B. Dean and Mrs. Roy Pruitt, sec ond; Mrs. Frank R. Baker and Al Gilhoueen, third; and Mrs. A. W. Lingaas and Mrs. C. L. Howard, fourth. In the east-west position winners were Mrs. Sam Rich ardson and Robert R. Dickey, first; Mr. Dolph Phipps and Mrs. William Knope, second; Mrs. Sam Van Dyke and Wil liam Isaacs, third; and Mrs. Jack Mitchell and Roy Pru itt, fourth. Ceremony Weds Darlene Prevatt, Ronald Williams Cave Junction (Special) Miss Darlene Elaine Prevatt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Clyde Prevatt, Kerby, became the bride of Ronald Allen Williams, ' Grants Pass, in a ceremony held Sunday, June 22, in the Cave Junction Com munity church at 3 o'clock The Rev. Gene Denning of ficiated. The bride wore a soft bal lerina length pastel green dress and carried a nosegay of red roses. She was given in marriage by, her father. Her attendants were Mrs. Frank Cooke, dressed in a white ballerina length taffeta frock, and Miss Barbara Pre vatt, sister of the bride, wear ing orchid: Both attendants carried nosegays of white and yellow roses. Russel Williams, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and ushers were James Pre vatt, brother of the bride, and Steven Hyde. The mother of the bride was dressed fn yellow silk print worn with white acces sories and a white carnation corsage. The reception was' held in the Eagles Hall in Kerby. Mrs. Frank Cook and Miss Barbara Prevatt arranged the gifts and had charge of the guest book.. The new Mrs. Williams was graduated from Illinois Valley High school in 1957 and the bridegroom from Grants Pass High. school the same year. The young couple are making their home in Grants Pass where Mr. Williams is em ployed by the Southern Ore gon Plywood company. Chapter to Hold . Miss Carter will play the Grieg piano concerto.. Miss Carter has known the famous conductor for many years, and played under his direction as a child when he conducted a performance of a children's symphony orches tra in California. The pianist flew to the east coast from her home in southern Cali fornia yesterday, and will spend a week in the east. In New York she will attend a performance e Meredith Wilson's "The Music Man" which is enjoying an extend ed run to standing-room-only audiences, as a guest of Mr. Wilson. The two musicians appeared in the same radio program broadcast from Hol lywood for about five years Miss Carter will have two albums of records released in the near future. One is made up of piano numbers record ed by .Miss Carter alone, and the second is a group of Bee thoven numbers for piano and cello made jointly with Wil- lem Van den Burg, California orchestra director and cellist In private life the pianist is Mrs. Jack Wormser and the mother of two children, San dra Elizabeth, 4 in August, and Steven Nicholas, who will be 2 in September. Couple Married In Nevada Rites Mr. and Mrs. Dale C. Mat thews are making their home at 1104-C Mahanna, Long Beach, Calif., following their wedding June 29 in the Bap tist church, Reno, Nev. The bride is the former Patricia M. Shultz, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. D. S. Shultr, Fresno, Calif. Mr. Matthews is a son of Mr. and Mrs. VV E. Mat thews, 914 Ross line, Med ford. The Rev. Blake M. Frank lin officiated at the 2:30 o'clock afternoon ceremony. The bride wore a pale blue suit with striped skirt.
