HVCC Four Eighth in Alderwood Portland (UPI) Two foursomes from the Colum- bia-Edgewater Country club wound up in a tie at 599 strokes each Snday at the con clusion of the Alderwood Memorial golf team matches. The Columbia B team had led after Saturday's 18 holes but the A team picked up in Sunday's play behind Don Krieger's par 72 to post the final 599. The A team from Portland Golf club finished second with 607 and the Waverly B squad was third with 609 strokes. A playoff between the two Columbia - Edgewater teams will be held to determine the championship, chairman Jack Lovetfsaid Sunday. Rogue Valley A finished eighth with 630 stroke aggre gate in the Alderwood Invita tional golf tourney in Port land. Scores were Dr. William Miller 73-78 151, Carl Schmidt 77-78 155, Ed Hall 79- 79 158 and Bud Haupert 80- 86166. Miss Crocker finished with a six over par 76 to take se cond place money with a 294 total, but it was a different story for Miss Hanson. She blew sky high in a "hard luck" round which saw her soar to a 13-over 83. They needed a slide rule to divide third place money between four players tied with 295. (UPI) Clay Bledsoe, Bremerton, Wash., missed rolling his 12th con secutive strike here Sunday for a 300 game in the All Coast Bowling Tournament and lost the $5000 special prize money that goes with it. The $5000 is awarded for each 300 game.
